It's not a very good retexture, to be honest. The idea's not bad, but you can't just apply a flat color to all parts of that helmet and have it look good. Right now, what I see is the stock white clone body with a "paint-bucketed" head.

we could, however, add our own skins if we wanted, right? i agree with mav, though, nice model, not-so-nice skin.

Sure you could, but it's not his model! It's just a texture released with someone else's model - which doesn't make a lot of sense, but hey, however people want to release their work.

What I'd suggest you do to avoid posts such as Mav's post is to paint it in, like in this skin, then apply some lights and darks. Also, use the dirt paintbruch with a darker/ lighter grey (or whatever color).

it isn't my model, but i modifyed this, so the model search other texture for the head MODL chunk, on the original model the body's and head's textures musted on the same file but now are on differents files skin

Wait, so you made it so that the model looks for two textures instead of one? Why in the world would you do that? That just unnecessarily increases the size of your munged files.

that isn't unnecessary because i must modifyed the leg for better head so i didn't want modify the leg also for this reason i put the skin in separated files

While I'm having a hard time understanding your explanation, looking closely at the textures I think I can see what you were trying to do, and in retrospect perhaps it's not a bad idea to have two different textures.

Regardless of that, however, I would not suggest just paintbucketing in textures like you did. Select an area, use the Hue/Sat and Colorize tools (along with Brightness/Contrast if necessary) to get the correct colors for retextures. This is what I like to use, and in my experience it's a much better thing to do (and it's not difficult either) than just dropping a flat color down.
