Oh My God!!! This thing is one tough machine in RC, so will it be equiped with the weapons in RC or just a plasma(or something) cannon for a nose?

The dwarf spider droid in RC is actually the advanced dwarf spider droid. They retconned it to that because it looks nothing like the one seen anywhere else. Anyway, the model looks great Gogie! I'm hoping your planning on animating this baby :D.

Yeah I definatly cant wait to get this ingame. I definatly have a lot of maps this'd be great for.

Looks nice. But it won't harm to make some more details. It looks like it's still under 2000 tri's, and you can even lower the current amount of tri's by deleting some un-neccecary edges (for more info on that, look at mini's posts :P.), so you can get this look quite stunning on a reasonable amount of tri's.

ooh, animation is going to be a project on it's own. I just started to learn a bit more about animation in BF2 and I don't think it will be easy. Even if you have more experience with those anoying . combi files. It's not just another lift off animation. You have to tell the game exactly what animation to play in what way when you do something. And I haven't started about the _full (etc) stuff yet. Becouse I'm not sure if that is just for the human skeleton. If it's not, how would the game know what is the upper part and what is the lower part..... I hope you are not as confused about this as me.

Well it is technically WIP, so I think it might be improved over time. Also, none of these models here are I suppose "worthy" of Pandemic (not trying to offend anyone, as I've heard people say that before. I just hope I'm not the one who gets yelled at, lol).

But anyway, this is amazing!

How will the whole vehicle thing work? Will it be some sort of vehicle-unit hybrid thing like a droideka?

If you're making this unit into a vehicle, how exactly would balance it off in gameplay? All I can suggest for now is making its numbers multiple, making them slow (as seen in the moves and games), and probably giving them more health than the infratry units. I'm looking too ahead of what you're accomplishing now Gogie, but I hope you see where I'm coming from.

One more thing. Will its eyes glow red??

:| Really Droideka, what are you talking about.... what he has made is the model and he is planning the animation. This doesn't really have much to do with balancing, wich is odf work. Furthermore I don't see a problem in gameplay balance. After all, this can only be used in custom maps so many thing can be improved anyway. If the unit is too strong, you know the other side is too weak. But this is not important in this topic anyway, especially not at this point where it doesn't even have animations yet.

I support the glowing eyes thing. I haven't really worked with glow before and I believe I saw something saying that there has to be some kind of light shining on it or something, but I may be mistaken. But I'd say it's doable and cool.

Glow doesn't need a light if you use the vertex lighting method, so you can make weapons and vehicles glow.

if it is too small, then it gives THIS spider droid a warning to be slightly bigger
