Re: Battlefront III News
The customization thing was just a marketing gimick IMO to try to keep interest in the series for the time being.
I've looked at Rebellion's site to see what i could find. I dunno if this means anything to anyone but they've made COD5 for PS2 (dunno what that's like), the Simpsons Game, and Alien vs Predator for PSP (besides SWBFRS). Other than that, they seem to just be a developer of chiefly secondary titles.
Does anyone think that maybe LA will just take on the task of finishing the development of SWBF3 for itself? It would be more economically feasible than having to contract it out again, and LA I know developed TFU by itself (for Xbox 360 and PS3).

Re: Battlefront III News
LA needs to buy Free Radical and keep under the name Free Radical, bring back all the employees and finish and announce SWBFIII, but that'd be tooo perfect.

Don't believe everything on Wikipedia, although they do try to make it as accurate as possible.Grev wrote:According to the Free Radical Design wikipedia page, SWBFIII has been cancelled.

For the Wii and PS2 versions (and PSP, I think - don't know for sure though).Fluffy_the_ic wrote:I thought they worked with Krome Studios...trainmaster611 wrote:Does anyone think that maybe LA will just take on the task of finishing the development of SWBF3 for itself? (If anyone remembers me, I'd give you a dollar... if I could)
Graphics aren't something I care about a lot in games personally, but I'm still amazed by the look of those models! I'm going to give these Rebellion guys a chance personally, you never do know. Although I do wish Free Radical's build didn't have to hit the can.
They really should've revealed this sooner, I think.

Incidentally, SWBF3 is now on my Wiki watchlist, so hopefully I can catch the bad edits and correct them as they come in.Teancum wrote:Don't follow Wikipedia on this guys. Right now it's just people like you and me posting random things that they read and hear on the net. Just be patient and wait for some sort of credible word.

Re: Battlefront III News
Wikipedia happens to have the most credible source out there for this vid. If you look carefully around the time everyone starts screaming and clapping, it says PC among the other systems.negah wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Battlefront_III

Fixed. Wikipedia doesn't mean squat. The video itself is the sourceFluffy_the_ic wrote: THE VIDEO happens to have the most credible source out there for this vid. If you look carefully around the time everyone starts screaming and clapping, it says PC among the other systems.

Re: Battlefront III News
Wow, I'm surprised Youtube hasn't taken it down because of copyrights with LucasFilms. That's what happened to a ton of SWBF III videos within the first 2 days of this video hitting the internet. By a ton, I mean about 20 in two days.

There's a really small part of me that thinks it was part of a viral marketing concept, but I dunno -- they wouldn't close up Free Radical if that was the case, they'd buy it up.

Videos with useful commentary are considered fair use under USA copyright law. (Of course, that never seems to stop the companies going after some fan videos...)Mac wrote:Wow, I'm surprised Youtube hasn't taken it down because of copyrights with LucasFilms...
