Hee hee. I found something funny.

Ok, you know Force Choke?

Well, take a look at this line.

SoldierAnimation    = "choking"
This is the line is what makes the victim ur using the weapon on perform the choking anim (hover in midair clutching their throat).

Now. Bare with me here.

You can change that to another anim from Soldier animation bank (which you can view inside assets/animations). "choking" is really just refering to human_choking.msh in human_4 of soldieranimationbank. Now if you were to take let's say human_rifle_stand_death_backward. You could make them perform one of the death anims. Again and again. Until they actually die. Just by putting "rifle_stand_death_backward" in the place of "choking."

There are lots of anims to choose from tho. You could actually put ANY anim in the choke anims spot, and it would make the victim perform the anim again and again on loop.

Now if were to pick an anim, like one of the saber slash anims, you could make the victim look like hes actually DANCING. Yes. A weapon that forces people to DANCE. And then DIE.

I just thought that some of you might want to experiment with this. I think its funny. :P

Well, im going to use this type of modification in it, but not necessarily to make them look like their dancing. Which is a little too silly and glitchy looking. lol

I know a force freeze effect was created out of this a while back by changing choking to idle.

This would work well for someone making a TFU force lightning effect. Using a hit anim makes it look like they're dying of electrificatinonation..... ya.

That's not how it works. Areaeffectweapons are the only weapontype that you can set an animation to the targeted when it's used. And you can't turn areaeffectweapons into other types of weapons, because they don't support particle effects.

I was thinking of doing it the other way around and giving the force lightning an anim, but I'm not sure if that works either.

It'd be doable if it supported a muzzle flash effect. The line is in there but its slashed (//) out. I tried testing it and no dice. Mav's right on this one.

And, like most things, when I say it's not possible, it doesn't mean it's not technically possible, it just means it's impractical. There are ways to make it happen but frankly they're so roundabout it's not worth it.

Really this whole dance thing is a bit silly. I tried some of the slash anims and its not as groovy as I thought. If you really wanted them to dance you would make a new anim. But then in that case, you probably wouldnt need to do it through force choke. :P

What i did in my map with this is for one force choke, it makes them roll constantly. While the other they stand up perfectly straight, frozen, and look slowly towards you, hypnotized. :D
