Re: Geonosis: Landing At Point Rain
One or more of my units make the map go bye-bye.
Seems like it misses some HUD elements, for now I try to find out which unit it is.

Re: Geonosis: Landing At Point Rain
If it's just the sides causing the trouble, you could create a new, blank map and test the sides in that (or you could just have the blank map's lua use a stock map, which would save having to munge the world entirely). That should be faster than having to remunge Point Rain over and over.
EDIT: Just finished munging my test map which uses the same principle as above. It took two minutes, and that's with all the sides I've ever made that I still have in the Sides folder, and on a rather slow computer.

Re: Geonosis: Landing At Point Rain
Nice idea, but since my PC munges fast enough, and the map itself is munged full, I only need to munge the sides every time.

Re: Geonosis: Landing At Point Rain
You might want to change the sound. It's the CIS sniper rifle at the moment. Also, the beam comes from the Geonosian's head in the odfs I have. Is/can that be fixed?

Re: Geonosis: Landing At Point Rain
Glad you like it even though it isn't 100% accurate (My models will never be, I always have my personal touch to 'em)
Finished modelling a new prop/possibly autoturret for the map, now need to texture it >.<
Hope you like it.

So we've gone from 'polishing' to 'making brand new models'.
If it's an autoturret how does it rotate?

Re: Geonosis: Landing At Point Rain
If it will, then only up and down.
(it's supposed only as eye-candy when shooting the passing-by Laats)

Still falls under "polishing" category in my bookLagomorphia wrote:So we've gone from 'polishing' to 'making brand new models'.![]()

Not much of an AA gun if it can't turn. Maybe a missile cannon...

Re: Geonosis: Landing At Point Rain
looks great but on the last pic don't you think the canonery are a bit too big??
luch a big canonery and you can kill it with a simple sniper or all other sides
