Alpha channels in Paint.net?
I am trying to skin the CIS in Paint.net (photo editor) and it is different from Gimp, does anyone know how to do it? There is an option in the "Effects/Stylise" tab called "Relief" and that seems to fix the opacity issue but you have to change it back don`t you? I don`t know how to do that

Yeah, like Anakin says, Paint.net does not handle alpha without a plugin. And if you try saving TGA files from PDN, you will find that VisualMunge will not accept them.
In other words: use GIMP.

No it works, I skinned the clones fine, but can you give me a link to the plugin? I know exactly how to use paint.net and I'm really good with it so I'd really like to use it to skin everything

tga from PDN works fine with paint.net. But i had some problems with the "new" tga format. but i don't know if it was pse or paint.netSamee3 wrote:Yeah, like Anakin says, Paint.net does not handle alpha without a plugin. I must be doing something wrong.........
And for the plugin(s): http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/f ... hing-only/
There may be some trial and error involved.

Upload the file? I don`t get any error messages or anything, I can skin them but they look weird because I can`t revert it back to it`s original state

OK so show us a screen shot of the weird looking unit ingame and upload (e.g. to dropbox) your tga file and maybe the msh file, too.
