Re: VisualMunge Error
When you munge you should only check the options that apply to what you've edited. If you aren't creating a custom shell.lvl file then you don't have to check Shell box, etc. And I don't see what the problem is; your map should still work fine even if this error shows up in the munge log.

Re: VisualMunge Error
Have you played the map to see if this error even messes it up at all?

Re: VisualMunge Error
What changes have you made recently to your level? Can you post the error/debug log? If you don't know how to get one, look in the FAQ topic.

Re: VisualMunge Error
The log is the notepad that comes up when you're done munging.

To the OP: post the munge log in hide tags. If you don't know what those are, paste the log, highlight it, and click the "Hide" button above the post box.
Note: if the munge log has no errors in it, only warnings, you'll need to post a debug log (sometimes called an error log). Look in teh FAQ for info on this.
Doing this gives us the information we need to solve your problem.

Re: VisualMunge Error
I think this has to do with the compatitbility betweeb the modtools and BF2. I'm just not completely sure.

Re: VisualMunge Error
I think it looks like he checked every single box when munging. Or at least, he checked the sound and shell ones when he didn't need to.
Post your error log. And, btw, what OS are you running, and where exactly did you install BF2?

Re: VisualMunge Error
What is the size of your fully munged three-letter folder in your addon folder? How quickly does the munge take place? Where is your BF2ModTools folder installed?
I would suggest reading through some of the FAQs at the top of the Everything you need thread:

Why are you munging the shell and sound? You don't need to!

Re: VisualMunge Error
Ok, i have SWBF2 installed in the right Dir but it is cracked. I did click every single option in the munge box, even though i didnt need to, but i didnt know that. At the moment I am using vista. My mod tools folder is also in the right folder as well. As for the munge process it takes about the same time as any of my other maps did. As for the size of the file im not sure, because I dont know which ones you are thinking of, do you mean the common, mission .lvl stuff?
- Since the map has nothing done to it at the moment I will delete it, make a new one and munge with shell and sound UNchecked. I just hope it works.
-Even if it does work I still have some other questions for you all.
-BTW, how come no ones sigs show up?

Re: VisualMunge Error
Mav meant the filesize of the three-letter addon folder itself. So if your map's id was ABC, he meant the ABC folder in your addon folder.
Sigs on GT are regarded more or less as a waste of broadband. You don't need an obnoxiously large picture to signify that you posted your post; that's what names are for. If anyone specifically wishes to view someone else's sig, they just look at their profile.

Re: VisualMunge Error
Ok, i have made some progress. I made a new level and didn't munge it with sound and shell checked and IT WORKED!!!
Now onto my second problem.
- I have made a new texture for the rep_inf_ep2_rifleman but I cant get htem into my game. I copied the texture to another folder, modified it and then replaced it. Then I went into Common/scripts/MAP and changed the MAPc_con file so that instead of it saying
ReadDataFile("SIDE\\rep.lvl",
It said
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\rep.lvl",
The bit that stops me from getting them into the game is that after I have munged my level with rep chosen from the drop down list, is that when the level is loading, half way through the game crashes or something. The game just stops then closes.
I really don't have a clue for this one, any help would be appreciated :jango:
