XSI - Z-fighting and awkward polygons [Solved]

Post by Marth8880 »

I am creating a test model of an accurate standard homosapien human being; the torso, head and the right and left arms and legs are all separate objects. I went to Create>Poly. Mesh>Merge and checked "Blend" with the torso and the head selected since they were both far enough complete for merging them to make sense, and I noticed some Z-fighting in the torso and the head alone when I rotated the model; also, err, this happens when I try to scale points inward.

Silly question, did you hide and/or delete the original unmerged meshes?

No; how would I go about selecting the original unmerged meshes to delete them if the merged meshes are covering them?

open xsi explorer in one of the work windows, find and select the unmerged meshes and press H to hide them or Del to delete them. Freeze the merged mesh prior to deleting the originals though.

Thank you very much, sir, that fixed both problems!
