BUT..... Rather than working with my old layout, I have created a new, much larger one in order to add a more "doomsday"- type feel. Crashed ships and frigates litter the canyon floor. Rugged terrain adds to the effect.
Done:
-Larger map size, crashed capital ships
-Command walkers and flyers along with fighters
-Lava effects
-Tunnel systems
-Darkened terrain
-The half-sunk clone turbo tank from the original RDD:RoF
-Capture the Flag is working (may add more features later)
To do:
-Interiors for the ships (partially done)
-Get my old sides source files working and finish them up
-Lava beasts
-Death regions in lava, boundaries (left out of original)
-Reskin crashed ships
-Add crashed fighters, etc.
-Hero Assault mode (its there, but not yet working fully)
-Work on GCW era
-Replace a few of the CIS gunships with MTTs
-Add defensable features to some of the command posts - turrets, trenches, etc.
-Add some more lava (reskinned water, instead of just Mustafar objects)
And of cousre, screenies.

Here's my contributation to the Republic Dooms Day map pack.

What is in it so far:
-lots of vehicles
-lava and mountains
-CIS has an advantage in max number of units on the field and reinforcement count
-ways to sneak around the main battle and attack from behind (ex. a path through the mountains surrounding the battlefield)
What I will be adding:
-"lava beasts" that spawn as ambushes on the back paths (and they will spawn as native units from the lava lakes)
-unit reskins
-an overpowered droideka for the CIS side
-mist
-rock foliage
