Wait a moment....
I have an extremely limited amount of scripting knowledge, but that is a LUA weapon, yes? You can't be changing the unit's ODF or it will affect everyone with that odf, correct?

No, it is not a LUA weapon. It is the same disguise kit we've had as an unused asset since SWBF1.Fiodis wrote:Wait a moment....

Re: Battlefront: Unleashed
Oh, ok thanks for clearing that up.Maveritchell wrote:And once again, I will tell you:Nova Hawk wrote:Well because you guys have a spec ops trooper for the rebels who turns into a stormtrooper, so I was thinking you could do the skin with the helmet off, and then with the disguise kit, you could have it be a regular clone trooper uniform.A disguise kit changes the mesh of one unit's model to match the mesh of the first unit on the opposing team. This does not work mechanically or logically:Maveritchell wrote:That's not how a disguise kit works.
Mechanics: The first unit mesh of the opposing team (Empire) is not a clone trooper. It would have to be to work.
Logic: Why would "putting a helmet on" be a valid attack? Why would a clone running around with a helmet on be any more of a disguise than a clone without a helmet on? Either way, it's not an Imperial.
I specifically used the helmet-less mesh because the de-helmeted clone is more personal and seems like a better fit for a Rebel unit (and it also fits better with their partner hero).
Of course, it was simply easier for me to say "that's not how a disguise kit works."

I never noticed that in the SWBF assets!

Re: Battlefront: Unleashed
Seeing your making the force unleashed characters will you by any chance be including the imperial EVO troopers?
Or Captain Ozzik Sturn?

Stormtrooper commander looks great too.

Re: Battlefront: Unleashed
Here's the rundown on Force powers I promised earlier, with of course the requisite videos.
Force Push (Charge): Medium-range attack; knocks enemy over and does damage dependent on length of charge.
Saber Throw: Do I need to explain this one? Medium/long-range attack; throws lightsaber at target, boomerang-style, does damage on the way there and the way back.
Force Grip: Short/medium-range attack; lifts units in the targeted area off the ground for a short time, immobilizing them.
Force Pummel (Charge): Medium/long-range attack; pulls rocks from the ground and throws them at the target locked on to. Must charge or no attack.
Force Repulse (Charge): Medium-range attack; similar to an omnidirectional Force Push; Compared to Force Push, it can be charged for longer but does not do proportionally more damage and knockback (than Push at similar charge levels) until charged to the highest level.
Force Rend (LS): Very short-range attack; a lightsaber swing infused with the Force that damages and knocks over enemies. Slightly extended hitbox from a melee attack.
Force Crush (Charge, DS): Medium-range attack; creates a small Force implosion on the target, dealing damage.
Sith Strike (DS): Very short-range attack; Dark Side-powered electrified lightsaber swing, hurts and knocks over enemies in range.
Force Lightning (Charge, DS): Medium-range attack; Dark Side-generated lightning that damages opponents in range. When fully charged, lightning is explosive on contact.
And of course the videos:
Force Powers Preview Video (Low Quality)
Force Powers Preview Video (High Quality)
Force Powers Preview Video (HD)
You should be able to see most of the heroes in this video, too.
Force Push (Charge): Medium-range attack; knocks enemy over and does damage dependent on length of charge.

Amazing Mav, simply amazing. I didn't think it was possible to get BF2 to do something like that. Kudos on the skins as well, they look awesome. Especially Maris, Shaak Ti, and Kota. I can't wait to play as the Shadow Guard, keep it up. Its inevitable that this mod will become something great. Especially when combined with the Convo pack.

Who'd you think the fella with the green lightsaber wearing Rahm Kota's clothes was? All of them are in there (and they're not just reskins either). You can see them all being played as. And in case you didn't:Nova Hawk wrote:I didn't see any Kota, Maris or Shaak Ti....
Kota demonstrates Force Push and Force Grip, Shaak Ti demonstrates Force Rend, and Maris Brood demonstrates getting hit by Sith Strike (she's also the last unit shown in the video).

Very nice! Especially Maris, Shadowguard and of course Starkiller.
Have the lighstabers got new effects?
And as I understand you can run after charging some force powers like force push?

Wow, those models are pretty impressive. They look like they're ripped straight out of the game!

Not sure what you mean there.negah wrote:Have the lighstabers got new effects?
You can run after charging any power.negah wrote:And as I understand you can run after charging some force powers like force push?
Everything probably looks pretty impressive on Youtube - we'll see how impressive when they're released. Most (okay all) of the new playermodels are just edited and retextured versions of stock playermodels.Teancum wrote:Wow, those models are pretty impressive. Re: Battlefront: Unleashed
i think negah means how there are several different kinds of crystals, normal, compressed, and unstable, and therefore each different crystal gives the saber a different effect. not sure if thats what negah means though.
