Collision and Color Bug

Post by Aman/Pinguin »

Okay,

actually DarthD.U.C.K. should post this since he's the guy who makes the model changes for me but he's to busy right now so I'm posting this.

All he did was importing the default kashyyyk seawalls, adding a sv to it and exporting it.

But when I'm trying it out ingame (after giving the model a bumpmap with rep's meshtool) there are 3 bugs:

1. The model still has no shadow.

2. The model has a new ugly color when I set the light settings to high to see the bumpmap. Normaly the color should be like the wall seen on the left.

3. You can't enter the position I marked in the screenshot anymore. (Collision Bug)

Here's a screenshot made in XSI. Duck told me I should post it so...

1. From looking through the examples in the modtools it seems that mostly units use the sv_ prefix for shadows with the exception of a couple of vehicles, most buildings/props/vehicles use these: shadowvolume, shadowvolume1, shadowvolume2, etc. You could try the second option and see if it works any better for you.
2. It's hard to say, but it's possible that Pandemic embedded color in the msh before exporting.
3. If a msh.option file with the -donotmergecollision switch doesn't work then you may have to rebuild the collision to be more accurate.
