this is my first map for the german Mod "Better Battlefront". We would make a more realistic gameplay for SWBF II with a litte mappack with about 5-7 maps.
I started my work with the sides and my first map. It's a Mygeeto Map and i have take some screenshots:
On this map, the gameplay is very different to the original gameplay. There are only 3 classes to chose: The rifleman, the medic or specialist and the sniper. Units die faster than normal and you can kill someone with 2-3 shots. All the weapons have recoil. Also there is the new smoke granade! The grenades and mines dosn't have a red light anymore (last screenshot!).
The next days i will improove the AI (not so important, 'cause I hope yo'll play this map in multiplayer ) and maybe change the skyscraper textures. I also going to upload the map to test in the next days!
I just have a question, if you wanted to make gameplay more realistic, why did you not use the snow rebel skins? maybe this is for the best, these dark skins look cooler. I am just saying that for the enviroment, the snow rebels might have fit better.
other than that, the map looks good. I like the mist effects, and the realism will probably go over real well with many players.
I think that the urban rebel skins fit to the environment because it's mostly grey there... maybe i'll change the rebels...

The rebel seems to have the top of its head missing. It is seethrough.
I think the rebel skins look great in that enviroment. They do blend in well. It may be a snow enviroment, but I don't see much snow...
Please improve the AI! I don't play multiplayer.

Might be me, but the buildning in the third screenshot looks precisely like the central buildning in "Coruscant City" by Rends :/

Well, I think rends have released his models to public?! So everyone can use these objects...
And well, I credit him in the readme! (Because Rends is the reason, that I am a modder now...)

haha me too man. anyways i like the idea of working together, i dont have any problem with it going in your mappack just know that its also going in the competition so if it wins itll be in that too .

It was pretty fun but heres a sugestion:
More vairity in the medic/spec. class. The officer trooper(i'm guessing thats what it is) was good, but I'm taking mainly about the gcw units. Maybe change there weapons (I don't have any idea on what to change them to). They felt to similar. And different secondary weapons. Kept the med/ammo, but change the time bombs(maybe one of the units have the time bombs but make it so that this class will be different for each side.)(if you want)
