Regarding Emissive Color [Solved]

Post by modmaster13 »

How come the object "bes2_bldg_square_bot1" and "bes2_bldg_square_bot2" have a shadow region attached to it? I tried hex editing the ATRB's but that didn't work.

Please post a screenshot of what it is you are referring to.

Hex editing material and "shadow regions" don't go together in any way, shape, or form.

That is not a shadow region.

Just turn off the emissive color on the corresponding materials it is applied to via hex editing.

Then you are doing something wrong.

Before:

Code: Select all

04 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
After:

Code: Select all

04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
After ATRB but on the hexadecimal side of the editor.

Now I have a strong feeling that this is gonna be just like the Rhen Var Ice Cave problem. I searched for that hex, but it wasn't found. The hex I found was:
Hidden/Spoiler:
04 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
Then I changed it to:
Hidden/Spoiler:
04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Something like that with either lightmap or glow alternative rendered.

Yes, that is true with bes2_bldg_square_bot1.msh but not with bes2_bldg_square_bot2.msh. I just opened up bes2_bldg_square_bot2.msh and found that the tenth, 11th, and 13th ATRB's had an 01. That 02 you found was applied to the windows, by the way.

Ok, I got the shadows inside, but the shadow won't show up on the wall:

Look for the wall texture MATD, and do the same thing to it.
