SWBF2 Gall map v8 -- little help would be handy =)

New maps and mods are coming out quickly. If you release something (even a beta) please post it here. Be sure to give details in the topic such as Map/Mod name and version

i love shadow of the empire (sigh) brings back old memories it was the longest level and yes there were rock wampas there im dling it now tell me if there is gonaa be another version ill give ideas!

I noticed after Downloading and playing, I couldn't jump on the plateau at the top, and falling from there to a lower level resulted as an instant death.

to tell the truth im playing gall spaceprt level right now :!: :!: and you should add dash ittl be cool ill let you know if i have ideas :wink:

Hi,

this map is my map inspired from Shadows Of the Empire

v8 :
- level rebuilt completely because my HD broke up (lost source files)
- map is now a little bigger
- added better surrounding environment
- added millenium faulcon
- it's now sunset (maybe I'll change that later)
- all game modes work
- didn't change the heroes (so they are the default ones)
- added minimap
- added loading screen (will be a better one in next version, you can send me loading screens for my map, if it's the best I have, I'll put it, and mention your name in the credits of course)
- expect v9 release during the christmas hollidays

Currently thinking about for v9: (in random order)
- hunt mode (with wampas against the empire, have to see how it works first)
- XL mode (have to see how it works first)
- adding the slave one (if I find the model done : I don't know how to model) or an imperial transport like the faulcon (not fliable)
- adding healing and munitions droids
- adding some objects (rocks, ...)
- changing heroes
- improving AI (with nodes and better paths)


please tell me what you like, wanna change, hate, ...
so I can improve the map =)

Nice map. I really how you got the canyon to look like the way it is in the game. Ive played the origional game. The only thing I have to say is that the texture of the rock could be a bit brighter.

I'll make it brighter in the next version. Here, the idea was it's sunset (that's why everything looks like darker).

If you have anything else to tell me (even other things you didn't like about the map), do not hesitate to do so !

Hey, in case you haven't done so yet, try blending the terrain height so that the cliffs look more realistic and less 'omgterrainheightadjustor'. ;)

Epena :arrow: When I remade the map for v8, I did use the blending. But, the Droidekas could not walk to the top of the mountain. So I prefer the map like this with no issue with the droidekas (I tried everything with the paths, but I couldn't make the AI understand that a walking unit can go upward, but not a rolling droideka). So that's why it's like it is. But I may remove the RepublicCIS era (Gall appears only in SOTE), and then make the map look more realistic ; I hesitate, because some asking me to put Quinlan Vos again. The most important is fun :blackja: !

Hi,
it's not that I removed him (I lost the source files), it's that I haven't added him again. He'll be included in v9 that I will release during christmas hollidays.
