Hi, I was wanting to add water to my map for the Kashyyyk part of it and it took forever. I followed the instructions slowly to make sure I did it right and then I checked it. I munged it and I could play it until, bam, it crashed. It seems to be a rendering problem that I have never had before. I got the string pool error of doom so I removed lots of object (really, lots), munged it again, and the problem is still there. Did I do something wrong?
I followed the instructions given by AceMastermind in this topic. The only thing I did different was UVel and VVel are set to 0. Here is my req file just-in-case something is wrong.
I didn't know you could have too much water. I looked at the Kashyyyk and Kamino maps and I don't have as much water as they do, but I do have a 1024x1024 map (I'm only using a small part of it because I thought I was gonna need more terrain).
As you can see in this picture I'm not using that much water.
This may sound a bit of a pain but delete the water, and put it in again using the default square size and try not to go back over squares as you paint the water if you know what I mean.
I have had a map that crashed with water and that is what I did to recover it.
Not saying it is the be all and end all solution just something that worked for me.
