(HELP)Texture Repeats dont export

i added texture repeats to this object. in xsi it looked liek this

There is a button on the right called freeze , click on the two freeze buttons .

i clicked on the 2 freeze buttons after i added the repeats. i exported and
i still had no repeats. is there something else i need to do?

first: its enough if you check selected models only qand export textures (if you want that) the other options arent need for a simple prop
second: select all polygons of the model, rightclick and choose extract polygons (delete), then delete the remains of the original and use the extracted model instead, maybe that will help.

I tried ur way. It did not work. Is there any other way?

well, you can try to export the model as obj, delete the original model and import the obj.
hmm, thinking about it, check if you have multiple textureprojection entrys here:

Trust me this is a serious issue that is not fixed by freezing projections, and it is definatly not the projections.

Why? I have delt with this problem ever since I modeled in BF 1 myself, and the results are what he has the same problem with. What I say is this needs to be investigated, and then told on how to fix it.

I am intently looking forward to the out come of this topic.

well, since the problem seems to be presentin swbfviewer aswell, i assume that its not limited to swbf1. the two approaches i suggested sometimes fixed alike problems.
anyway, he already freezed the textureprojection and i advised him to check if he probably had multiple texture projections.

Well all I know is I have only had to use cubes in some scenes, (with only one projection) and still had the same result. There fore the only way I see some way to fix it is the export to obj, and import it.

Thing is I never did that because I could not rightfully have my textures return the way they were. Hence making that way of fixing it un-thinkable unless I had some tutorial on that.

If some one could make a tutorial on exporting and re-importing that might be what solves it. And if so I would start trying to make more models for BF 1 again.

there is no big deal about exporting something and importing it.
to export you select the object, under file select export and then obj. make shure to freeze the modle before exporting otherwise some things can get screwed up.
then under file, select import and then obj.

there are two cases when the UV doesnt "return" properly (you mean the UV, not the texture, right?).
the first is if the textureprojections arent frozen when exporting.
the second is if you have made various clusters, each with an own textureprojection. in this case you have to tediously select each cluster and choose the right projection for it.

thx i will try these. I will look for a way to have texture repeats without exporting and importing. what if u selected the texture projection box object and translated that. what i mean is like this
