How to apply textures in XSI

Post by MissingTexture »

I converted a model from .DME into .OBJ format. Now when I try to get the texture into XSI Softimage, it's all gray. How can I apply the original provided .DDS texture file into the .OBJ file in XSI?

Somebody let me know, please and thanks :)

Which model are you importing?
The easiest way to reassign the texture is to just drag n drop the image from your desktop etc onto the model in the viewport.

Testing out the gunship model from the CWA_Pack files. I'll try dragging and dropping the .dds file

Edit:
That worked out, thanks! Now I just need to find out how to export the model into a usable format for BF2 :?

Edit 2:
I exported the model, but now when I view the .msh file, there is no texture. What did I miss?
