Add a new position to a vehicle

Post by vonfrank »

I am trying to add more positions to certain vehicles
>AT-AT (A second position with left and right turrets like in BF1, as well as 2 passenger positions)
>ARC-170 (A co-pilot with control of the missiles, and a rear gunner with blasters)

I also want to give the secondary position of an AT-ST 2 weapons, a blaster and a grenade launcher. I have the blaster in and the launcher shows up as the second weapon, but I cant fire it.

Is there any advice anyone can give me on these modifications?

There's been a 3-seater arc released. You can find it in the BFX assets. Just look at the odf of any vehicle and you should find your asnwer for the atat.

I think that certain vehicles like the imp hover tank, cant have more than two positions.

Where did you here that? You (I think) can have up to 8 vehicle positions in a vehicle.

Well that other guy was wrong or you remembered incorrectly since a fighter tank with three positions has already made an appearance in PR-0927's first RotE map. And that was in 2006-07.

Not trying to continue the thread jacking but does the new position need to be before the turret? I did something similar to the AAT and it didn't work out well.
