Wow, that's a great improvement, the overall model really gained from those corrections.

MandeRek, you put that together pretty quick, just suggested it Sunday, looks good though.
If you need help with the treads just ask, I am the tread master, or wait is that the thing I walk on, oh can never remember.

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
The ball-with-the-guns-sticking-out-of-it at the back looks a bit... blocky. And the two parts connecting the arm cannons to the body don't seem to quite fit in with the rest of the model.MandeRek wrote:Here's with the improved cannons:

It doesn't quite contend with Mandereks fantastic model, but here is something that I've worked on for about an hour now. I don't have T-gen so I had to make it the hard way, it's a small tree that could be used in forest maps:

Possibly, but is only a test tree. It's rather small
. I fixed the images though, if anyone couldn't see them.

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
Doesn't look bad at all. Too make it more realistic, thicker branches most of the time don't end cone-shaped. Try splitting them up in the end again, OR making them look like they're broken (cut-cylinder shape?)
Anyhow good job. And Frag, I got it working!
With an amazing tread texture, will show you on X
Model was an hour or something work.. The ATPT was way more difficult!

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
My first attempt at a "real" (not sketchup) 3d model:
(WIP)
I wanted to do this since the first time I saw it
I will make a texture for it (preferably scratch made), as soon as I figure out how to UV stuff
Credits to
-All the people who contributed to "Blender; Noob to Pro"
-Wizardoffflight, from 405th forums, for a draft which I used to work off.
EDIT: I corrected the credits, silent viper was using wizardofflight his blueprint, that's why I was mistaken.

Good start man! To be fair I'ld start with photosourced textures, and UV it correctly. You can always reskin it afterwards.. You can't really skin before you UV, you need to do both at one time to get the best effect

No, here is a link to the reference picture I used, you can clearly see where I'm going for from that one:IndianaJoe wrote:so that thing sticking out in the back isn't the magazine?
