Yeah, that scaling looks much more accurate. I believe I was still looking at the photo in the first post, which I now realize is outdated.

If you're looking for more areas to add some finer details, I would suggest starting at the shoulderpad and working up the arm to the hand. There are a lot of details in both the stock model and yours that can be easily textured on; However, if you really want your model to stand out, adding those extra polys to give everything a little more shape and depth will do wonders.

Here's a good TCW reference of the shoulder and arm.

Edit: You could also probably bulk up the torso, particularly the chest area, a bit. He looks slightly scrawny. Here's another reference picture to show the kind of bulk I'm talking about.

Ah, okay. That makes much more sense,

Okay, I'll see what I can do,

After i'm working on the republic commando side mod i have some ref for textures. But they're maybe also good for modeling.

Okay, thanks.

I added better hand-pads (is there a different word for that?) and elbow-pads:

That looks great. I don't know if there is a better word, but at the hand there is the wrist vibroblade. Maybe aou can add the peak of it to the pad.

Is the vibroblade visible when it isn't being used?

Based on my hazy memories of RC, I don't think it is.

i don't think so. Just thought it's maybe a nice idea. you needn't do that.

one question. I had a bit boredom and so i started with textureing your RC for our mod :D It's maybe a bit early XD

But it's really difficult to texture without knowing what part is where on the model. If you maybe can export an stock soldier with your texture on him, so i have an idea where the texture will be on the model.

my idea of the sniper texture :D looks a bit like fixer ;)

Nice texture job

If you want to make finalized versions of your textures I would wait until the asset is released, that way you don't have to worry about adding the newer parts to your textures.

Update-ish:

Visor upgrade?

The changes you see below are a test only so I may or may not keep it.
If it looks great in-game I will keep it if not then I wont. Now, why could it possibly
look bad? Take a look at these pictures:
Hidden/Spoiler:
ImageImageImage
Going to test it in-game, if it works then glow would be possible for the visor.

-EDIT-
Well, it turned out much better than I had expected!

Here's a few in-games (the amount of glow would need to be reduced):

Hmmm... the top part I will probably do but I'm unsure about the lower parts (namely the circles), I don't think its worth it to add an extra 24 ish faces for such tiny details that wont really be noticeable in game. However the chin part would only add about 5 or less so I could easily add it.

Okay, here is the edit:

The only issue I have with it is that it isn't really noticeable in-game:

Here are some angles that you can actually see the edit somewhat (ignore the second picture's weapon model, I made it only for testing):

if you add some shadow in the texture, you'll see the edge better.
