you can add the backpack easily by making it an addonmesh, then you can add it to any unit you want without having to make new models for them

but when i tryed to convert my file after round about 20 second s Windows says that Meshex.exe doesn't work anymore...
The question is : Is it my fault or is the .exe damaged ..(maybe i made somethin wrong with my .xsi file)

if something not-that-complex doesnt work it is usually because the user made some sort of fault, did you follow the steps of the tutorial exactly?

Did I?
Yeah I think so cuz in the Tut there was a part where u had to check if everything has worked , it did. So err couldn't I just upload the file somewhere and u could look what my fault was , u don't even have to convert it or fin ish it for me beacause I know that this upload and checking thing sucks enough.

What the hell is doubleposting?I#m just answering.

Well lat's get back to the actual topic:
Could it be that i messed somethin up with the enveloping procces , cuz selecting all the bones is kinda tricky..

Do i have to envelop the addonmesh too, means do i have to mark or highlight or choose it ,too, before enveloping?

You can't export something with MshEx if you envelope it.

Alright I think I#m good to go, sry again for that doubleposting thing and thx for wasting your time.
wait, I have to envelop an unit before i can play it in game otherwise it will be a stiff dummy ,right? So with MeshEx I can't export envelped units, so I need to exprt it with the Pandemic.Addon ,BUT now it comes: U CAN'T INSTALL THE ADDON WITH TRIALS OR MODTOOLS JUST WITH FOUNDATION -> is there another , just any another way to export my unit WITHOUT buying Foundation or downloading the (lame, odd, unnecessary) 30days trial version????

means NO... :faint:

AGAIN. do I have to select the backpack and the clonetrooper or just the clone when enveloping???

first answer: no, but you can export everything without enveloping with meshex and ask somebody will the full version of xsi to export your enveloped models

second answer: that depends on what you want to do, if you wnat to ahve the clone adn addonmesh in one unit you have to envelope them both
