But never has there been a map set in Knights of the Old Republic. This map sets out to change that.
---------------------------------------------------
As anyone who has played KOTOR II will know, the player starts out (after a short cutscene) in a bacta tank in a mining facility near a remote, mining-ravaged world, Peragus II. The player wakes up to find rogue mining droids attacking him and all the miners missing...
...But suppose you'd not been unconscious for quite as long? Suppose the player wakes up before the droids' "mining protocols are set to mine organics?" Suppose you change the fate that befell the Peragus II facility...
---------------------------------------------------
This map features a custom miner side, aided by the Jedi Exile:
(Sullustian Peragus Miner)
(Peragus Security)
...against a custom mining droid side, aided by a tempermental "protocol" droid named HK-50:
Weapons the miners use include, obviously, mines:
...ion grenades, mining lasers, and ion blasters:
The Jedi Exile knows the following force powers: Burst of Speed, Energy Resistance, Disable Droid, and Blaster Deflection:
The mining droids are equipped with frag grenades, blasters, flamethrowers, and carbonite rays:
And lastly, HK-50 has a special overload attack that kills anyone within a 25-meter radius - friend or foe.
Some other pictures include one of the new models for the map, the corridors:

And a preliminary layout of the level, drawn through the second area:
Credit goes out to WideBoy, who has made and is making models for the interior (above corridor = his), to Teancum for sending me the vibrosword model and Vyse for creating it, as well as to PvtParts, who designed the mine effect.
There is a great deal of work to be done on the project, and in light of seeing other projects attain a great deal of collaboration, I would love for as many GTers to help create this as possible. There is still a great deal of modeling to be done for the interior - and to anyone that wants to help, ingame shots can be provided (still or motion). Additionally, something that would greatly improve the realism of this map would be getting a working unit model (+ animations) of a basic mining droid:

The B-2 Battledroid is good enough for the Mining Droid Mk II, but all the other mining droid variations use the above shape. I'd prefer not to fall back on using a droideka for them.
Anyone that wishes to help, you can message me or post here, and, as always, please, suggestions ++ and criticisms ++. Thanks!
