Re: Selva Prime
I prefer the yellow sand version. Personally I think the map needs more green...

Re: Selva Prime
i would prefer the yelowith one but less greenish and i would use a higher resoluted texture i think lowrezgroundtextures have a really bad influence on the atmosphere

Re: Selva Prime
okay i was sorta thinking the same thing.DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:i would prefer the yelowith one but less greenish and i would use a higher resoluted texture i think lowrezgroundtextures have a really bad influence on the atmosphere
also i have a question: these yavin trees (or maybe endor i forgot where they're found) seem to have a really bad lowrez texture or something. (the leaves atleast, you can only see trunks from a distance)
how exactly would i fix this?
Hidden/Spoiler:
@DUCK-is there an odf or .prp line that prevents the grid thing you were describing? i was able to increase the concentration via odf so its not as noticeable but it still looks a bit odd

It looks awsome.
And it reminds me a little of Rakata prime from KotOR.

Re: Selva Prime
I think you didn´t copied all of the lowrez textures in your world folder.
I had this problem a while ago, too.

Re: Selva Prime
If it isn't a problem with missing low res textures I would recommend increasing the view distances in the .sky file, but that could cause serious lag problems with the amount of water in the map.

Re: Selva Prime
ill try that. the only viewing distance that applies to the leave textures is like "MaxDistance = something", ive played around with those values but to no avail. hope ill figure it out eventually..Eggman wrote:If it isn't a problem with missing low res textures I would recommend increasing the view distances in the .sky file, but that could cause serious lag problems with the amount of water in the map.
anyways heres a tiny update, the new and much improved concussion rifle

Comes with all clone troopers in adition to a normal blaster rifle and grenades.
(again, ignore the trees, foliage, etc. im working pretty hard to 'overhaul' the look to make it much more tropical, updates soon

Re: Selva Prime
thanks guys, i got bored last night at 10:45 and came up with that
its sorta based off the concussion rifle from republic commando, so i think you guys will like that weapon
and sort of a side note, i think i have thought up of the 72nd campaign. I plan on making a trilogy map pack series thingy. Each map will take place on the planet selva prime but each will be a little different environment. This is for the campaign mode of course and all 3 maps would still have conquest. This is just my very early thoughts on the overall trilogy that i hope to make soon though, so you'll hear more about this much later
Currently, here are the titles in the trilogy
1: Selva Prime: Trapped!
2: Selva Prime: Escape
3: For the Future of Selva Prime (eh not sure about that one..any suggestions?)
this is starting to wander from the topic a bit i guess, but the 3rd map i plan on making some sort of a canyon fight between a certain faction and the CIS, at about dusk (so dark-ish sky) just thought i might share my plans with you guys.

Selva Prime: Shroud of the Empire;obiboba3po wrote:3: For the Future of Selva Prime (eh not sure about that one..any suggestions?)
Selva Prime: Departing Light;
Selva Prime: Black Fate.
I took in consideration the future of the clones (becoming imperial Stormtroopers; serving the darkside) and the fact the third map is set at dusk.
Some simple titles:
Selva Prime: Liberation/Conquest (depending on whether the 72nd is there to liberate or conquer the planet);
Selva Prime: Fall;
Selva Prime: Victory.
Some titles related to the planet itself:
Selva Prime: Wild Hunt;
Selva Prime: Jungle Warfare;
Selva Prime: Wilderness.

Re: Selva Prime
Hm actually you guys were thinking a little bit differently from me lol. When i said dusk i was actually planning on ending the series on a high note. And notice 'other faction vs. CIS' doesn't necessarily mean clones
but that's part of the future campaign i guess so i think this discussion should be continued later
thanks for all the titles though, ill look through them an see if i can think of anything.
more updates coming soon
