I've never been a fan of characters miraculously returning from the dead and bringing back Maul seems redundant since we already have Savage. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued, though.

Did anyone notice that the Laat/i pilot is still Phase 1 even though the ground troops were Phase 2?

*raises hand*

It make a lot of sense actually. The men on the front line would be first priority to get new equipment, the pilots don't need the new armor as much as the guys on the ground.

Okay, a little late here, but I just finished watching the third episode yesterday...
Hidden/Spoiler:
Alright, talk about a gore fest for a kids show here! Mon Calamari chum and a severed head? I mean, I like it and all and with the Jaws reference, as Era mentioned, but won't somebody please think of the children? I guess it would be safe to assume that the show is heading in a more mature direction, which would be a good thing. Either that or kids these days have been severely desensitized to extreme violence.
The fourth episode was pretty cool.
Hidden/Spoiler:
I like how the Gungans gunged up on General Grievous.
I really enjoyed the fifth episode; it really tapped into the fantastical side of Star Wars, which is always good to see more of, similar to the Mortis trilogy. Take that, midichlorians!

My dad and I just watched episode 5. We loved this one, Gulliver's Travels and Wizard of Oz combined. We had a lot of fun with this one, one of the best we've seen. At least comedy wise, and there is some action.

I really enjoyed the latest episode. The writers did a fantastic job on the dialogue and pacing, especially when it came to the humor. Also, they really nailed the characters of C-3P0 and R2-D2.

and it features the Besalisk Jedi with two double sabers, which I have been waiting to see since the Season 4 trailer aired.

I'm cool with it. Darth Maul was the coolest bad guy in starwars and they killed him off. Should be cool. Be nice if he clashed with Dooku for the rightful place by Sidious's side.

Filoni made it sound like Maul will have extensive use, but we'll see if that extends into next season or just a multi-episode arc in the spring.

EDIT
Interview with Dee Bradley Baker that showcases some new footage like Bossk and Cad Bane in prison garb.

Just saw the first part of the 4-part Umbara arc(? 4 isn't an arc I think, meh whatever).

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT
Hidden/Spoiler:
Battle begins, Cody looks awesome, Rex looks awesome, Fives is awesome, clones die, Palpatine recalls Anakin to Coruscant. Krell takes Anakin's place.
Krell is a jerk, clones die, Fives and Rex made it to the end of the episode. Kinda hope Krell dies.
All in all good, can't wait for next week.

Yes, I gotta say this is my favorite episode so far in the new season. Loved all the clone action. I can tell these next three episodes are gonna be epic!! Can't wait...

I really wish someone could take pics of the episode and the next three so I can put them as my desktop. That would be so awesome!! 8)

Ok, so I just saw the epiosde. My review:

-Nice intro into the battle. Some good action sequences there.
-Pong Krell is a jerk. (I hope he dies)
-Rex's Phase I/II armor mix. :P
-Umbarans have some really strange technology.
-I didn't like how they ended the episode with a counterattack.

But other than that, it was a very interesting intro to the Umbara arc.

A few things I noticed.

Hidden/Spoiler:
They finally learned how to make blaster bolts other than blue and red!!! :o <--- This was literally my favorite part of the episode.
New helmets for the AT-RT and Gunship Pilots.
Never got a good look at the starfighters they used besides the Y-Wing and Gunships, assuming Z-95 or ARC-170 with wings folded.
Krell is no longer awesome from the previews and something I want to see destroy droids. He's a jerk who I want to see major fail.
One of the things he said made absolutely no sense. "Anyone else want to stop and play with the animals?" ... WHAT?? The animals attacked the clones, they didn't have a choice but to "stop to play". Also, that kind of taunt is used when a villain has just killed a disobedient subordinate or prisoner, not after a hero saves someone from a monster...
I think this is why no one noticed Anakin's slide to the Dark Side, they were too busy watching this guy...
And, he called Rex by his CC-#### that I cannot remember, even though he used it like 3 times in a row. Slowed his sentences waaaay down. There's no good reason I can think of to do this...
