Re: Aldura Release Thread
Yeah. That was fun! *blows up* OH there was a fighter there! Oops.Eggman wrote:The spawn points are behind the main body of the CIS fleet, but not in the Lucrehulk, so yeah, they sort of are in the middle of space, but still removed from where the main battle will take place. One annoying problem, though, is that fighters both from the Republic and CIS will randomly appear headed straight toward you, similar to the way they would appear from the edges of the map in shipped space battles. I don't know what causes it, but I couldn't find a way to get rid of it either. So you might need to dodge the occasional fighter that appears out of nowhere.RevanSithLord wrote:Btw, do those Droid Starfighters fly out of nothingness or do they come from the Lucrehulk-class cruiser in the map?

Everything shows up In English but it shows up alright.Eggman wrote: Edit: For everyone who runs the game in a language besides English, does the localization show up okay? It was an issue in the Beachhead map, and I want to make sure I got it right with this one.
The Campaign was easy but so i like it.The engines from that cruiser are very fast down.I think a bit to fast.
Really a good Map,Eggman.I enjoy your works here very much.

Re: Aldura Release Thread
Orbital Assault is an excellent space map, Eggman. I do agree with Mav' on the fact that the objectives were a little too easy (but very well done. great job), and the dogfighting could be better (I think the fighters are a little too fast), but overall a great map. Keep up the great work!

I actually think they are about right for a fighter actually. It reminds me of SW:CW with these fast speeds.

Re: Aldura Release Thread
I downloaded and installed Aldura: Orbital assault, but there are apparently no modes(ie Assault, CTF). It says clone wars, but I cannot play it.
Please fix this!

Re: Aldura Release Thread
You have to have one of Zerted's shell.lvls installed for "campaign" mode to show up.
His newest shell release can be found in this thread.

Re: Aldura Release Thread
Thanks a lot, it works now! Orbital Assault is amazing, but I wish you could also play as the droids... Beachhead is good, but it could use some vehicles. Overall, two excellent maps.

Re: Aldura Release Thread
Space map is awsome so far. Except that it keeps CTD.
Edit: Really, it's fantastic. GREAT gameplay. It's just crashing for me, very early on, for some reason (before I can finish destroying all the fighters - the second objective). Even from that early glimpse into the gameplay, you should be very proud. That's more fun than the base space maps combined.

Yes, otherwise I wouldn't be able to play it in the first place.RevanSithLord wrote:Do you have that Shell.lvl , already assuming that you don't?
Edit: Anyone else experiencing this problem? I really hope it's some simple explanation, cause I wanna play through the space campaign.

Re: Aldura Release Thread
I am at a serious loss of words. Do you know how awesome that was? Unbelievable! The ruined city is perfect with perfect cover. (Although the clones get stuck a lot.) I love how the CIS get stuck in that big building and rain down suppressive fire at you. The battle is really tactical and super-fun!!! The space battle was awesome too. To be honest these two maps are probably my favorites next to the 607th. REALLY looking forward to seeing more of Aldura.
Edit: BIG OOPS
I forgot to check how old this topic was. Its like, old. And I posted and bumped it. Oh well. Just wanted to say a good word about it. Ill check more carefully next time.

Re: Aldura Release Thread (1/10, Landfall released)
It's been mentioned several times in this thread, and in the Readme: you need an updated shell that supports campaign mode in the instant action menu. I recommend the 1.3 patch (lite version will do fine, and is less than 6MB compressed, 38MB uncompressed). If there's enough people who don't want to install an updated shell I can add a hunt mode or something that uses the campaign script and release it as a patch, but I can't guarantee that I'd be able to do that immediately.

Wow, great level. Liked the dialogue in there, it gave me a good chuckle. I wonder what the next map is going to be...
