This is the 1.0 version of my second map, Battle of the Bridge.


It's is a pretty simple map that consists of a long bridge between a large mass of water with ships. It has 4 ships to each side and is conquest, both capture the flags and hero assault. For conquest there is a comand post on each side with two on the bridge and one in each cave under each side. On one side of the map are walkers that fight each other. There are locals in the caves who are unfriendly to both sides who try to interfear with the battle. Two elevators go from the upper portion of the bridge to the lower portion and back for players while the bots run up and down the hill to get from bottom to top of the bridge.

The clones have riflemen colored brown and Kashyyyk Snipers, all sides have pilots.

Im not sure which planet is it yet because I used some Yavin textures, with Geonosisish colors, and Hoth's sky. :?

I would like to thank Penguin and Rends for their tutorials on adding sounds and Locals, [RDH]Zerted for his tutorial on creating a loading screen and his elevator proof of concept map and source files, MasterNoth and others for that excellent "Welcome to the Star Wars: Battlefront Modding Tutorial", Teancum for creating the "Everything you need" thread and everyone whom I may have forgoten who has helped me or taught me how to do something for my map in in way, shape, or form, but I still have much more to learn.

I would also like to give credit to my brother who thought of the basic idea of this map which is "just a map with a really long bridge".

-Things to fix-
GCW1Flag doesn't have anyone other than the player spawn
Lighting in certain part of one cave
Terain edges of trenches
Antiair Turret bug(Is this a localization issue?)
CW flyer domes in GCW(dont know how to fix it and how to add the correct ones)

Please tell me about anything you see that still needs to be fixed, and if you know how to fix it tell me that too... ;)
Also tell me if you experience any lag.

Thats great but can you plz make it a .zip so i can DL? I dont want to get WINRAR or anything. But the map looks really good and would probably be very fun to play.

Greatness, it's out, and definitely improved! Good Job! Hey, but cut down on the screenies, It takes up lot's of space, and the only ones you really need are the first five or so... :lol:

Why not get WinRar, many of the files you will find on GT are .rar, so... Google it!
BTW, gonna download this map later, looks very cool!

Those are the World War II skins right? Those are great but then it would be a ww2 map, I want this to be a Star Wars map. :)

Cool Lookin Map, btw could you tell me where the cave/tunnel assests are located(Last Pic) It will save me some time searching, lazy :P

This Map is Awesome,Spacerocker. :shock:
I love this Kind of Maps.The Water looks great ,Anakin is great to play,and the CP with the Jawas, is a nice Loacation beside the Main Battle.

I found one Bugs:
The Liftsystem from Lower to Upper Bridge is not working right now.The Time to go on the Platform after activation, is very short.Ony Anakin can jump on it,when your good.
One Thing i don`t like is the missing JetTrooper. This Map is made for the JetTrooper. :wink:

When the Beta is so great,what would be the Final Version?

Looks really cool but somehow........ I don't think the Hoth background fits in LOL! ;) I'll have to wait to download because my computer's all weird right now :cry:

WOW soooo fun! Its really cool tryin to break thru enemy lines. Also if u land a gunship at start of bridge AI just fall and theres like 100 dead peopling falling on you in a sec if u go down AWESOME!! And really good water too and i like the elevator although its tricky to get on when your at the bottom.

Yeah, the reason those crates are in front of the elevators is because I wanted to make it so you need to jump over them in order to use them. If you dont jump onto the elevator you usually just fall through the object, so yeah. Try jumping over the boxes onto the lift. I also am trying to get rid of the NULL that keeps poping up on the elevator but I cant fiqure it out.

It is in the Geonosis assets. The odf is geo_prop_cave.

Looks good so far! It was fun jumping off the top bridge and landing on the lower one after a very long drop. And of course being able to fly around and under things is always entertaining. :D

As far as finding bugs goes... You said CTF isn't finished so I'm not going to go into it, and I think someone already mentioned the capturable CP in Hero Assault. The only other thing I can think of is to ask if you actually use the "tur.lvl" file in the "Side" folder? If not, get rid of it and reduce the install size by about 32MB.

Another Idea:
Give Anakin Force Push not Force Coke so you can push the CIS away. :twisted:

Good map.

I think that you should change the Emperor to someone else, because he just isn't that good, but apart from that, this map rocks.

Map is good!! :D
Bridge needs to be abit wider.
Where is the lift activator? :?:
CP on the bottom bridge.
vehicle respawn time decrease.

But all in all it is a good map. Congradulations on making such a good map :mrgreen:
