Sent off the bug reports in my PM, pretty stable map. It will definitely be following my Dark Times folder around.

I've received some really constructive feedback from the testers so far. I'll spend the rest of this week addressing issues and suggestions that were brought to my attention, then I'll try to add a few more things such as Sky's trees and hopefully skydome ships (I know so I saw a tutorial on this somewhere but I can't seem to find it now). Expect a public release within the next few weeks or sometime during this month!

Testers, feel free to post thoughts/pictures if you wish to do so.

Didn't really get a lot of picture time, but I liked this one. Kind of reminds me of that Ord Ibanna one I took back in 06 or 07.

For default sides it should be as easy as adding these lines to your .sky file

Code: Select all

SkyObject()
{
Geometry("imp_fly_destroyer_DOME");
NumObjects(1);
Height(350, 500);
VelocityZ(30, 50);
Distance(2500);
InDirectionFactor(2.5);
}
This of course would be for the imperials, the msh, msh.option and req are in the imp side file and get loaded along with the side by default.

Edit
A couple of high up pics.

Maybe you want to look in the FAQ?

It's called something like How To: Custom Flyer Domes

Very nice looking map btw. :thumbs:

Same principle just put the msh, tga etc in your world1 folder and add it to your maps req file under model.

looks very distinct. I really like the skins! Perhaps you could throw in orange/yellow mist?

I think EraOfDesann picked some beta testers by himself. He already said that he needs no voluntary beta testers ;)

It's been a few days since any news so I thought I'd post a small update. I'm currently in the process of adding 2-Flag CTF as well as Hunt. CTF is working, but it's pretty buggy so I'll have to sort through that. I'm going to try and get that fixed before I move on to Hunt.

Also, Sky finished the Hutta trees a couple of days ago and I've added them to the map:

Huge thanks to Sky for his contribution! They've made a world of difference in the map's visuals.

Nice. Sooo...have you got Jabba as a playable unit yet? I think that would be really cool. :bowdown:

beside it being "cool" theres not much value in it and it would be a lot work, i mean in the movies hutts can hardly move....

Or do any fighting. He would probably just send some goons to do his dirty work, and there is no fun in that.

Loving the looks of this, Era, nice job!

In EAW Hutts were the enemy locals of the Nal Hutta planet.

They would slither into range and shoot pistols.

Slow locals though, and easily eradicated by imperial, rebel or consortium forces.

(maybe u could have a hoverplatform unit with a machinegun attached.)
