Its still visible that this is WIP(not-UVed parts etc) but I dare say the environment is getting close to finished. Enjoy!
I like it all.

Except for the excessive bloom from the lights. I don't think it's necessary. The glow from the shield warning lights is one thing, but for the regular lighting to be as bright as the sun is totally different. It looks unprofessional (the bloom effect in Star Wars Battlefront II isn't really that good in my opinion, anyway). If I were in charge, I would ease off a bit on the bloom coming from those top lights. You can really tell how fake it looks when an object is partially obscuring the light source - it looks nothing like a real lens flare. This is especially apparent on the second image with the track passing in front of the warning lights.

A better specular map would be nice for the LAAT/i gunships to fit in the realistic environment. Also, desaturating the Geonosis discoloring on their hulls would make it much more fitting with the overall grey lighting. The beige-yellow tint doesn't fit here.

Alright, but that doesn't really answer my question, I wanted to know if they will use the TRandoshan Merc and The Elite Merc models for their CIS side.

You know you can just turn light bloom off right? Its an option in the start menu.

I knew someone would say that, and it's not the point. I like bloom, I just don't like it when it is excessive. But turning off the whole thing is unnecessary. I was stating my opinion.

Of course I know there is an option in the menu.

No probs. Its always nice to check!

Anyway, I want to take the time to say that I noticed the way you textured the objects...looks like the objects in RC. Impressive...most impressive :vader2:

Yes, of course.

THEWULFMAN's right; this is impossible.

Nah, it's quite alright.

No, that would be against the Site Rules. We never planned to use those unit types for this map at all. All the units/sides have already been presented at the following two links:

The glow intensity can be reduced, but we're not really going for realism here. Thanks for your input.

It doesn't have a specular map yet, but it will.

No... I'm pretty sure that's the actual color of a gunship...

If you are implying these textures and models were ripped from RC, then you are sadly mistaken. ANDE and D.U.C.K. did a great job on them, respectively.

actually, you cant turn this bloom off.
background information: this kind of bloom is not made by the editflags, it can only be hexedited. i use it because it has the advantage, that its far easier to handle. you dont need a glowmap or vertexcolors for it, the color is determinated by the diffusecolor and the intensity by the diffusealphachannel.

alright, time for the long overdue update.

there hasnt been much progress on the model side due to my lazyness but andeweget made awesome new textures for the DC-17s and this week i UVed all the missing parts. now there are only a few items one panel and the minimap left to do (and maybe additional model).

so today we present something most people know from rc: consoles!
with power

Weren't those there in the beta?

And, fusion cutter. Excellent. Adds a whole new meaning to "slice that console."

Oh my gosh. That detpack model matches all the awesomeness of ME3 in a single refined package. It's compact. It's remote-controlled. You can put it in your pocket and take it with you. Above all, it's just so explosive.

Long live Duck's Detpack. :)
