Very nice, but I don't see an engine. See exhaust pipes though.
Hmm must run on Super Mario Farts

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
@redline, it was humor. It is a nice model really.
Here is the latest version of the ATAP, it has texture, shadow volume, lowres, a nifty front leg animation but a really sucky turnl and turnr animation, have to work on that. Also have some odf parameters I want to work on. But all in all it is walking and behaving pretty well. Oh and in case you are wondering the main cannon is firing shells, because as according the repositiory of all knowledge, Wookiepedia, it is a mass driver cannon. Anyway here it is. Enjoy I hope.

I like it... my only worry is the 3rd leg animation is a bit annoying, everytime you stop it drops... honestly it would be far better if you just left it idle and stowed away, but I like how you have it working... maybe have the animation initiate a few seconds after you stop that way it doesnt get so repetitive, but Im jiving about the model and other animations!
great work!

Thats how the EAW FoC versions worked, probably to keep stable firing.Battleffront_Conquer wrote:I like it... my only worry is the 3rd leg animation is a bit annoying, everytime you stop it drops...
but ur a bit right, maybe u should invest in a few more frames for the third leg drop.
Honestly i can't say how awesome it is(its even using the sounds whooo) Nice work!
*btw, the ATAPs were a little bit faster than that, but im guessing thats easily remedied

Re: SWBF Series Model Showcase Thread v4.0
The third leg anim is already "delayed" it doesn't start until the unit comes to a stop on the left or right to idle and in order to keep the animation flowing properly can't really increase those animations. Same with the idle to left or right, for flow purposes, it's animation is actually shorter the going into idle which is why the leg lift starts as soon as it starts walking.
But that is all boring animation stuff.
As for keeping the leg up all the time, where's the fun in that? It was mean to come down when the ATAP stopped. If it was to stay up all the time I would have just tried to make use of existing animations. But these are all new animations and very much a learning process for doing walkers. Not only that it is fun trying to crush droids with the front leg
The funkiest part of this whole thing is actually the game engine and how it decides which animation it is going to play. Which is why when it goes into reverse it looks like it is doing a double animation. The ATTE does the same thing sometimes although you can't really see it giving the camera position.
Already made some changes too, it now has a nice dust effect on stomp looks pretty sweet.
Anyway thanks for the compliments, and vote Cool for the video, oh wait that xfire contest is over.

That's pretty cool! Hey, you should try to cel-shade it, like these models. Just my though though.
