Total Time spent: 3 Hours, 2 hours making and 1 hour texturing :p

PS: 87% done, just needs exporting, then i need to copy it and rotate it around a bit so when you attach it to the second hand it will be the right way up, AKA, two weapons for Jango!



EDIT: i'll get a bigger picture later, tired at the moment

Awesome! But is it possible to give a unit 2 weopons like that?

Only 1 hour of texturing? You are preety fast, du Vogel. If I am texturing, it takes three times as long as modeling.

Looks good, but I do not remember how it looked in movie.

the_empror you know the aqua twi'lek named "aaylas recura" (aayla secrua for those non-SW-geeks) she has two sabers its the samw concpet but with guns so it is defntly possibel

But wait, isnt it going to be like twin lightsabers? Attacking at different times? Because of course you know that weapons cant shoot at the same time, for example, you cannot attack when you throw the thermal detonators and they havent exploded yet. Thats why the Jango in Star Wars battlefront 2 has only one blaster. But I believe it would still work if you made one westar take turns shooting. But i still think this is a brilliant design...keep it up! :D

You might be able to set up a combo file for them both to be able to shoot.

Wow!!! Great job Penguin!!! Well if you think about it. Penguin is doing more of a magic trick with the blaster. By magic trick i'm mean optical illusion. Just like the Hail fire droid and the snail tank. The treads just look like they are moving but they are not. I think what Penguin has to do is have a character hold the blaster normal then like she said mirror it. The have the blaster effect/bullet also be mirrored. Simple really.

Yeah that would probably work. I'm not sure about the effects though? But I havn't messed around with off-hand geometry and such.

No, it's actually not. You'd have to make a whole new set of animations and everything to make it work like that. Not worth the time. The only way you can do it without going through a lot of trouble, which Penguin is doing, is make it simply look like the character is holding two blasters. It wouldn't be the same, since one of the guns really wouldn't fire, and wouldn't do any actual damage. It's just an illusion, as Moving Target said.

Also, you spelled "Aayla Secura" wrong.

Its no problem if the gun doesnt work, the illusion would be sweet. Even if he would just hold the gun in the offhand with the default animations would be kinda cool

just make a new shooting animation and replace it with the old one jango uses and remunge them, simple.

and yeah, the second gun wont fire, it will just be attached to the other hand.

Penguin are you going to try the mirror image thing? All you have to do i get the right hand gun firing how you want it. Then have the left hand mirror it, but delay it if possible. But it's your choice.

Wouldn't it need two fire points? Can soldier weapons have more than one?

omg, dual blasters is easily doable, just quit thinkin that it isnt, the player doesnt hold 2 different blasters, both guns are a single mesh, and like a ship or the droideka all you have to do is add the nextAimer line and add the hardpoint from the second pistol and make the very simple player animation of his arms holding it and also of his arms moving back and forth.

to complicated for me, ive alreayd made people with two working guns, but when you attach the 2nd gun it getts roated around so its upside down etc etc.

PS: do people want it so its just one weapon? or two, left mouse = left gun right mouse = right gun?
