Oh, it doesn't have to be Sniping. I think it would be enough if you placed a turret there and some "noses" under the window , so a jet trooper/dark trooper can jump up there. But on the other hand, you're the modeller of everything in this nice little map (making it easier to add some steps), and my suggestion would give an unfair disadvantage to CIS and Rebels.squipple wrote:So far only 19mbI added ridable friends this evening.
There's not currently any of the windows you can snipe from. I'll have to find a way to make that possible in more than one place definitely.

Not really to the Imps. The darktrooper is so pathetic that the arc wouldn't even get down form the building and the pistols are, well...only worthwhile at head height?
But you're right about the clones. Even so, if the dis/advantages for sides were dead equal there'd be no fun, right? No drodiekas, no wrist rockets...the only difference would be unit shape. Whooo...
Just, yeah. Thought I'd mention that.

Nelvaan: Village by squipple
Version: Beta
About the map:
This location was featured in the Clone Wars cartoon. It's set in and around the village, and includes the Nelvaanians that inhabited it in their combat gear. Although there was no combat actually in the village in the Clone Wars, it does make for a great combat location.
About the Jedi:
Squyy Dazo (Sq-why Dah-zoe) is a Zabrak trained in the art of the Sith, much like Darth Maul. Squyy didn't agree with the dark side and ways of the Sith, and was able to disband. The Jedi order couldn't trust him, and would not take him in, so he went to hide from the Sith on the planet of Nelvaan. The Nelvaanians took him in and gave him the tattoos on his face. Since the planet is so cold, he developed a new force power, force heat, to keep himself warm. In its most extreme use, it can be a very powerful weapon, but only at short range.
The jedi's name, like many Star Wars names, comes from a combination of the creators names.
Issues to solve for final:
-The map sometimes crashes in hero assault. The log says something about it's unable to find something to do with grievous. I've not altered grievous at all, so I'm wondering if there's too many jedi on the map now that I added my new jedi. If anyone has any insight, let me know.
-Right now the Nelvaanian 'shoots' his spear instead of 'throwing' it. I've tried following the docs and million things to get it to work, but no dice. If someone out there wants to set me up a side with just a bothan that throws a spear, I can reskin it, and give you credit here.
Thanks to:
Schizo for setting up force heat and getting a start on the Nelvaanians
Epena for delegating resources
Gametoast for keeping this game alive.

RE: Beta
Awesome. I've been waiting for this map for a while now. Definitely going to try this one out as soon as possible. Great work on the models, man. They look perfect. Just like the cartoon.

Awesome map man. Definatly one of the best to be released recently.
I didn't find any major bugs, but then again I just ran through and played it regularly, no bug hunting or anything.
I have to say, great work. The models look amazing, and they, well, just seem perfect.
Can't wait to see more from ya.
