I only know how to use transparency in Corel PhotoPaint, so that prolly doesn't help.
I can't say transparency would look incredibly good with that. Maybe fade one side of the yellow into the page, that's about it.
I really like the colours though It's really simple, yet really cool.
What font is it (and where can I download it?)

Dafont's pretty much the best.

woah nice caleb. just wondering, how do you do transparency in GIMP anyways?

Basically 2 ways:

1. Use if the part of your image you want transparent is one solid color, preferably something other then black, or white, works much better. (ie what i used in this case)

Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel (assuming one isn't already there, button will be gray if it is)

Use the eyedropper, to get the background pixel color values.

Layer>Transparency>Color to Alpha...

Click the "From: <White Rectangle> to Alpha"

And define the custom RGB color value you got from the eye dropper.

hit Ok, check the preview, color should be replaced by gray checkerboard, indicating the Alpha channel.

Ok again, Save as PNG.





2. If you need more specific areas, or areas that are white/black transparent-ed.

Layer>Transparency>Add Alpha Channel (assuming one isn't already there, button will be gray if it is)

Use magic wand selection tool to select area's you want transparent.

Swap to eraser tool, set brush to galaxy, big 100x100, and swab it all over the place, to throughly remove surface coloring, revealing Alpha channel

Save as PNG
