I finally got bored and picked up Gimp again.



The lightning doesn't look exactly how I wanted it..oh well

I came across this way to use/generate matcap materials inside Blender. The render on this:

took less than 2 seconds a frame, but after shaving the settings a bit more I got it down to less than 1.1 second per frame. I'm going to use this soooo much. In fact, rendering it took less time than uploading the video to youtube.

One criticism: the river in the left valley looks kinda... odd... I dunno how to describe it, but it just looks lke it's kind of sitting on the landscape, rather than cutting into it? Poor description, but... meh

Yeah, I know, but Photoshopped is almost like a verb nowadays. Maybe I just messed up my grammar terms, but I think that just having had my first day of school after a 6 week break makes up for that.
