Well, its taking a year and a bit. Since and before the modtools. I have been working on this map nearly none stop. It was intended to be my Clans map, but No longer as I've left the clan.

I've changed the map layout and complete design so many times. From a Hoth/Rhen Var Stylied map, To a Underwater city, to a Close Combat Urban city, to a Sky scrapper map, to this. Verena

A deep valley in which contains a deadly secret. The CIS Have won the battle above Verena and have begun landing their ships. The first to touch down have Landed in Narcisuss, A Republic Barrack and Holiday Resort.

The Republics Forces have been reinforced with a Proto Type Clone Unit, The new Sniper comes with a powerful sniper with the ablity to rearange droids into scrap piles.

Oh, looks muy bien...if that's how you spell it. I looks like, Kashyyyk, Endor, and Death Star mixed! I can't wait.

WOW! :shock: Great! It looks awesome! So, could you describe the layout of the map? And i don't know if you don't want to, but maybe you could change the water texture/color to the Yavin 4 water. It'd make it look more realistic. Also get rid of the glossiness :wink: Nice!

Its a small map, CPs go around in a sort of cycle. Map has high and low spots, tunnels, buildings, hangers, etc. There was going to be a waterfull but I couldn't get 2 water layers to work.

I'm not a fan of "mixed themes" maps at all, but your map looks so pretty...except for the death star parts. I hope they're concentrated in one area, so I can avoid them/I don't have to see the terrible contrast between the two themes.

But else, you're promising a perfect map: Recon Commandoes, new vehicles, XL, objective mode, hidden areas...what could anybody ask for more?

PS: Plans on making a Verena map pack, Penguin?

Nope, just 2 maps related to Verena, VDI and VNV.

PS: Don't worry, its all 1 theme. Death star part fits in. its a small Republic Base ontop of a cliff that houses 1 cp.

Man, I've been trying to figure out how to get those CP notification messages working forever. You gotta make a tutorial for that. I miss that from BF1. It actually let you know what CP was actually being taken.

The map looks really good. A little too similar to Kashyyyk for my tastes, but the layout looks really good. And I like the Republic base. The rifles leaning on the windowsill is a nice touch. I never would've thought of that.

Search for it. Everything you need to know for it has been posted in the Modding Section, I posted a topic asking how and Archer gave me a script that would call up and display a localization key when a CP is captured, only thing that doesn't seem to want to work is when the CP is neutralized

Aha. I found it. Thanks Penguin. I'm gonna try it. Hopefully I can get it working, becuase it's definitely something I want to implement in my maps.

that looks pretty sweet Penguin. I like how it shows different themes of Verena and not just different stuff(I mean how its not like your other verena map, you know, its unique.)

Ooo- I've been waiting for this for a long time. I love the look of the mountain-grassy hills.

I, personally, like the 'mixed themes', I like the change from open-arena style fighting to close-quarters stuff. How much of the map is underground/inside, by chance? I notice the Endor bunker- where does it lead?

The list thing says it includes Hunt mode; 'Citizens vs. CIS'? What are the citizens like? Reskinned temple/naboo guards?

You have the ARC gunship in this map, right (the video of it was on this map, wasn't it?)? Besides that and the Jedi Starfighter, what other ships are here (for the CIS, say)?

Tiny things/suggestions:
Something I noticed in the screenshots; the Hoth Hanger entrance still has it's stark-white snow texture. Change this to something more mountain-y?

Those two big rocks in the water (screenie after info one) look kind of the same from that angle. It's pretty insignificant, but could you rotate them?

Water that blue... has always been a bit too 'Kool-Aid' for me. Could you make it a bit darker, less transparent? Also, I don't know how it would look, but maybe try giving the underwater terrain a different texture... muddier, something to distinguish it?

Sorry for asking so much; I was somehow able the end every section with a question...?

Hanger has no texture at the moment, the white is a weird glow O.o

yes, this has the ARC :p

Bunker enterance just goes though the mountain ((to bunker enterances put back to back creates a nice litle tunnel :P
