early stages .No textures. A couple of bugs present but its in game and working using Mauls animations.

Im using small lightsabers at the moment so im going to ask everyone/any1 to perfect an electrical current effect ,like in the movie. If you manage it please post here and i'l get your effect onto the staff.

are you up to the challenge ?

BTW , I dont think its possible to give the Magnaguard a cape

I dont think the Magna has a hardpoint for it cos theyre not appearing

yeah but there is another way to give it a cape, do it in XSI to the actual model, i was talking to fred about this last night...

we cant, but fred said he might gimme some emdl's of certain models since he isnt allowed to give out scene files so ill have to redo some things since emdl doesnt preserve everything.

I presume so but Maul's style is probably the closest to the Magnaguards ....with all the saber twirling etc.

Bit of an update:

Iv slapped some textures on it , made it abit thinner and changed the handle completely to be more like the movie.

Its in the process of having the proper SFX added to it.

Iv made this primarily for our (vyse and myself) Rattatak arena map aswell as for 00M-9 ,who wanted a workin staff for his ARC mod.

I will be releasing it for mappers aswell.

So the answer to your question would be different for every mapper most likely.

What Vyse and myself give to the Magnaguard for the Rattatak arena is secret

The map which these pics are taken from are actually from the Rattatak arena .... but iv jumped out of it to hide the arena for when it is released

the arena is right behind the magna

I disagree Bandu, magnaguards have a very different style from Mauls. But making their animation set could be done much later, it's awesome enough that they have a staff to begin with.

Iv tried editing the lightsaber texture to give it a more electrical look but it makes it look kinda flat ... plus ,obviously, its stationary.

I really need some1 to come up with a proper effect ..... im too busy with the rattatak arena ...we hope to have the map out during the weekend.

Maybe, you could wrap the ends of the staff with Force Lightning somehow. Hope you get it right, though.
