Need a teacher!
Hi I am a Star Wars Battlefront 2 fanatic and the other day I downloaded a modding tool kit from Filefront.com called "Star Wars Battlefront 2 mod tools (PC)" I may be a noob a this or I may be an idiot to some. I think that I just don't know anything about modding. So to get to the point I would like a teacher/adviser to guide my way to modding heaven by giving me tips and showing me how to run the stupid ##$%@%^
Thing!!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Need a teacher!
Start by reading the FAQ. And just play around with the mod tools. Look at shipped assets. That's how I learned to mod.

Read the files in the documentation folder
Start with the "Getting started doc"
Also you aren't supposed to run the BF2_Modtools.exe without moving the file, it is just a debug version of the game

Re: Need a teacher!
So how can I get some files such as vehicles, trees, buildings ect. on the map with the Zero editor? If Zero editor is the modding program which I am almost sure is. :jango:

Re: Need a teacher!
The whole community is your teacher here, very rarely will you find just one person to guide you step by step through the whole processTopic Title wrote:Need a teacher!
As computergeek said, read the Getting Started guide to "get started" (whodathunk it?
It'll guide you through some of the most basic parts of making map.
Also if you're a bit confused you can always take a look through the FAQ, as Tygr said.
In modding you'll also have to do quite a bit of figuring out yourself,
So once you've completed the aforementioned steps and gotten making a basic map down, explore around and try to do things on your own, and if you're stuck, repeat the previous steps.

Okay Tavyx I will take what you have said under advisement and I know what you mean I have done that (aside from reading the FAQ).
The only thing really that I need to know is how to get files ino the Zero Editor main frame so I can put in objects.
