Battlefront extreme or Ultimate Battlefront: the clone wars?
I just uninstalled BFX so I can download UB:TCW to test it out (So I don't go over the 500 mission limit)
So Which one (in your own opinion) do you think Is better?

Ultimate Battlefront's a lot better. Sides are sides are sides are sides (there are exactly zero standout side mods for the game - they're all basically the same), and UB:TCW comes with maps. BFX gets a lot of play because it's been around for a long time, but there isn't anything special there that isn't in a dozen other mods. If a mod has actually new content (i.e. maps, missions, etc.), it's almost automatically better than a sides mod.

BFX is way more popular and way better.

and the skin work is just phenomenal. Plus randomized sides and a splendid amount of game mods, ultimate clone wars is your choice I think.

BFX is more popular with non and casual modders, but it also takes up a lot more mission space. UCW is generally more appreciated by those who do more modding due to the uniformity and new maps.
I would suggest trying both and swapping out between a secondary addon folder - that's what I do

After trying both I think they both have something to like, but I wouldn't keep them more than a little bit. I prefer Dark Times II and Rising Confict CW. Unlike BFX or UBCW, Rising Conflict CW makes the CIS vary from map to map. Most CW mods just throw the CIS out the window and give the Clones 300 skins. I like skins but please give me good sides with the skins.

Ooh interesting, I'll have to check out Rising Conflict then myself, always interested in some CIS changes.kitfisto15678 wrote:After trying both I think they both have something to like, but I wouldn't keep them more than a little bit. Fair warning, it's not that many changes, but I did add a few extra skins for the CIS.BF2-Master wrote:Ooh interesting, I'll have to check out Rising Conflict then myself, always interested in some CIS changes.kitfisto15678 wrote:After trying both I think they both have something to like, but I wouldn't keep them more than a little bit. On the topic of the actually thread, as said for many reasons, definitely get UB: TCW, it included good new maps (not necessarily the best maps, but they're new!). Random sides are also a cool feature. BFX feels almost cluttered with its side; not to say it's a bad mod, just not the better of the two.
Remember priority of big mods (for me at least) goes:
1. Maps/campaign
2. Overall polish
3. Game modes
4. Cool features (random sides, ai heroes, etc.)
5. Well made/balanced sides
6. Anything else
6. having 8000 clone legions
