Could someone describe exactly how to add unit names using the units in my custom side (pgr)
in the editlocalize.bat. (Lets say the name of the unit is "Guard") The units appear on the rebel side in my map. How exactly would I add them and get the names to show up.

Re: Add names to unit
well open editlocalize.bat and search enter in Entity - your army (if is new , create the new 3 letters for him, for example arm) - then on this add the unit odf's name without the 3 letters of your army, and add the descrptionRogueCruiser wrote:Could someone describe exactly how to add unit names using the units in my custom side (pgr)

Re: Add names to unit
it is the best if you call the unit rep_inf_guard assuming you want to modify the rep side and you added a unit called rep_inf_guard.
when you open your editlocalize.bat you then click on
+entity
+rep
then one way is to right-click on "rep" and chose "add key".
then you type in "inf_guard" since your unit's odf is called rep_inf_guard.odf.
last but not least you have to change the unit's name for every supported language. in order to do this you have to mark your unit (inf_guard) and then you simply type in "Guard" in that white box in the middle of the window. do this for every language listed in the drop down menu.
hope that helped.

p.s. don't forget to save. that may take a while.
