Simple model (rebel sniper rifle) edit - Repeating Blaster. Will use an effect rather than an actual muzzle flash for the two barrels.

Three edits/kitbashes - a repeating blaster, a heavy pistol and a republic bowcaster.
1st is made of alliance sniper rifle, second rep sniper rifle, 3rd is made of bowcaster, rep rifle and rep carbine (not sure who made this... RepSharpshooter I think?)

I believe the GC mod team made the rifle you're talking about.

Oh and @ mswf:

1. The model is automatically triangulated, although I choose not to show it when modelling.
2. I'm using 3Ds Max 2010.

Looks nice; I think the render is a little deceptive in terms of detail with the shadows, unless you are planning on baking an AO map off of it for your texture.

Some of the edges toward the front of the gun will disappear when given proper scaling and imported as a .msh - it won't really matter, though, being on the front. You may also see issues with some of the smaller details on the side.

And is the lower half of the stock supposed to look like that? The detail is fairly consistent across the whole gun, but that simple flat area behind the handle looks bizarrely inconsistent with the rest. Obviously if it's supposed to look like that, then that's a-ok.

Little texture practice and a try at higher poly work.....

I kinda failed at the high poly part, but I like the texture.

Its not bad for a high res model, or at least part of a model.
