New Object skins [solved]

Ok, I'm trying to reskin a door so that it has words on it. I got the skin done, saved without compression, and went into zeroedit, and it still looks the same.

Is there anything I need to do in the lua to change this?

Did you rename the new texture to overwrite the old one?

He didn't make a new texture, he edited an existing one.

Yeah, I just edited the skin like I would the skin of a unit

Replace the door in ze and see if its changed.

Did you munge after editing the skin? Also, check to see if there is another texture with the same name anywhere in your worlds folder.

Sorry for not posting, I'm having... Issues with my map.

I did munge after making, and still no difference. And I'll double check, but I don't believe there's any other object with the same name anywhere.

Not the object, but the texture. If there's another texture with the same name in your worlds folder it may overwrite the texture you edited.

Have you been succesfully able to put new skins on characters and have them show up in game? because if you don't anchor the layer with gimp before you save the skin won't show up in ZE. Also not sure if you did this but Ze must be reloaded before the changes will take effect.

Yeah, I've reskinned most of the units... just when i tried to reskin the door, it didn't work.

I'm trying to redo the courascant library door, so it says something like "Teleporter"

I think I MIGHT have gotten the wrong texture though... so ill try again.

The tga file for that door is Cor1_Bldg_security_room

Wow... then I'm stupid, I was just editing cor_bldg_librarydoor (or something like that)
