Hey, the skiff is a great idea! However, I'd de-suggest the making the banks steep, because I think that maps get old and broing quickly when the only thing that can be done on a map is fight in the dead center where all the action is. Then, capture the back CP as soon as the enemy reinforcement count is low enough to plaw through.
Remember that the mottoish thing for BF is "play the battles any way you want!" There's less diversity when there's only one place for action. I personally think that LAATs and a few foighters as well as skiffs would be awesome, but that's just my oppinion.

I wasn't trying to imply that the banks be impassible. I only meant, that since the skiff would be a "hover" type vehicle, you could technically make it so that they could only be on the water if you gave the banks a small steep grade. You could then make small paths that led to a skiff dock. Easy-peasy, baby.Epena wrote:Hey, the skiff is a great idea! And besides, regardless of whether the bank is steep, there's still going to be no fighting in the water, right?

I don't know, someone suggested an underwater tank battle (with snail tanks), which would be a cool idea. It wouldn't even disturb the skiffs fighting on the surfaceMaveritchell wrote: And besides, regardless of whether the bank is steep, there's still going to be no fighting in the water, right?
But if there's such a battle, the water must be rather deep, meaning that nobody can survive there, so it doesn't matter anymore whether the banks are climbable or not.

Right, but there's no incentive to fight, or even go, underwater. Infantry weapons don't work there, and there certainly wouldn't be a command post there. Likewise, do vehicle weapons even work underwater? I'd wager no.Protector_Pulch wrote:I don't know, someone suggested an underwater tank battle (with snail tanks), which would be a cool idea. And vehicle wepaons do work underwater, I've tried before. And even if they didn't it would still be cool to sneak past the enemy lines undetected under the water

Thanks for giving me my thread back. I really apreciate it. lol.
@ML_916
So most of the units will become Felucia sniper's model and maybe slightly altered skin for each unit, and then some reskinned Phase 2 armor that will probably end up looking something like this:

I guess if it's the only option I will include the entire heroes.lvl file. Does anyone know how big it is?(in case you're wondering I don't have the lastest of the conversion pack. That is why I don't know how big that file is)
@[raptor]kashyyyk I like that idea of the underwater tanks and I think I might implement it later but for right now I am just trying to get everything working.
@Protector_Pulch Thanks I will probably use the infiltrator. I like the idea of log barricades I'll put some in. I am not sure if I want the bridges to be destructable, what do the rest of you guys think?
@EJMM My video card is ATI Radeon 9200SE AGP 128MB. But when I take pictures I set all the graphics on high, but I really can't actually play the game with all the setings like that. I get about 5 FPS with all the graphics set on high. I need to upgrade my motherboard and CPU on my PC. It's kind of wierd I just barely built it two years ago and it's already out of date.
@Razgriz I like the looks of that picture but he would be kind of hard to create. First, I would have to make a new model. Second, I don't know what weapons he uses. Third, we don't even know if he is a CIS hero. He looks very cool but no thanks. On that same note what do you think of IG-88 as the hero for the CIS or the Empire?
@Epena I am usually not really a fan of flyer\ground battles. But in this case I think flyers might be a good thing. Maybe a transport on each side? But I have no idea how to make the flyers not crash into trees and stuff like that. Could someone point me towards a thread that contains this information?
[raptor]kashyyyk The stairs are not for getting out of the water for when you fall in, although they could be used for that, the stairs are for climbing down to get to the tanks, which will be down just hovering on the water.
I am not going to put in MTTs. I just had a chance to try them out and they are the slowest, most useless things in all of Star Wars. Plus they are Command Vehicles so AI would be like spawning from the MTTs and falling in the water and they would eventually die.
@Redneck-Alcatraz The water will be very deep. In ZE it says that the water is 7 deep I have no idea how deep that is but, yeah. The water is deep enough so that when you jump your head does not get within two feet of the top.
@timusafa There will only be two bridges going across to the island

Yeah I looked up the 41st on the wiki and I think I will be trying to duplicate their skins, thanks. The Wookieepedia Speaking of the 41st Elite Legion wrote: They maintained a large armory with gray-marked Phase II and camouflaged scout armor

That is exactly my idea but I will be useing tanks instead of skiffs. There will be tanks battling over the water but that's about it.Maveritchell wrote:I wasn't trying to imply that the banks be impassible. Just so you know, the guy who made Kashyyk Kachiro already has those models and I'm sure he'll gladly lend them to you!
