ok when i open a file from the side assets that come with the mod tools in gimp they come up with grey and black checkers all over it and i cant figure out how to fix this i have tried opening up a different file but they came up like that to and i cant see anything behind them

uh..... thats part of the image. its supposed to be there. Do you mean transparency?

oh what never mind i figured out how to fix all i had to do is copy it onto photobucket then i copy it from photobucket and paste it in gimp well thx couldn't have done it without you

there is an easier way to do it.

I don use GIMP, I use Photofiltre.
Photofiltre get rid of the transparency mask, so you dont have to get rid of it yourself

And its alot easier to use than GIMP.
