Xwingguy stated that it's impossible to move caps due to the regions and spawn points etc.

And what about a dummy cap with sealed hangars and no turrets on it ?

It would require a new model to be made with the capital ship as just 1 block instead of being made of lots of smaler pieces.

By dummy cap do you mean the dome version of the capital ships? If so those can fly on a planned out path automaticly. I don't exactly, but i think that it's possible. I'll try it out. Anything is possible along as you have enough time, money, and know what teh hell you are doing.

Well, I haven't really suggested anything, so my suggestion is to make a room where vehicles are kept. You could have AT-ATs, AT-STs and speeder bikes. It would be cool.

ONTOPIC: you dont NEED flyable frigates as such, its just that most people want it so they can either own online or own offline, a rare amount of people would like it for the fun factor, well.... a real rare amount actually

It's not pointless. It just adds a nicer scenery. If you think that's pointless then its your problem. By the way please reskin the tantive IV halways to a darker color. Tantive IV and a Capital ship doesnt look good to me.

Your map is the best thing in the history of map making! But I have a few questions and suggestions! First will your map be in clone wars timeline too? Will you have new spaceships? Will some of the space ships have cockpits? Now for some suggestions. I believe you should try to make flyable capital ships if possible! If not, then heros in space! But to make it even better I think you should add a command bridge to look out the window of the star destroyer!! Make it kick Diet Dr. Pepper man!!

you really should try to read the topic, even tho it's pretty long. many of these questions have already been answered...
NO new spaceships
NO pilotable capships (impossible with cp:s spawnpaths and regions)
NO CW

it's true that one should read all replies, but remember that this topic has over 1000 answers, so reading everyone would take time.
by those AT-AT's in space, i konw that it has been solved, but SD's actually had a gigantic cargohold which offered space to many AT-AT and AT-ST's
although, they was in the hold, the hangars needed every inch of space to fit the numerous flights of TIE's.
xwingguy had a little memory rollback to the time he played JK outcast and walked inside the doomgiver and had to fight of a vehicle that was guarding a sector.
if i remember right, he had a wish for AT-PT's to patrol the corridors, but i have no idea whenever he continued that wish or not.

since cap ships cant move due to all that stuff, maybe you could do this. Take a cap ship, scrap all its interior mumbo jumbo, block its hangers and then try to make it move across the field. It should work, it basically makes the cap ship same as a friagate. It would just be so realistic looking to see an SD coming at you, even if its hollow...
If it works you could do this with a couple of cap ships on either side, that would be a real space battle.

nice idea from my opinion Syth, maybe have 3 or 4 cap ships on each side, 1 or 2 on each side are completely hollow and moving, sounds like a good idea...

I don't think he meant controlable vehicles, only just as objects. I think that'd be cool too, albeit memory consuming

are autoturrets placeable on the hollows?if it does place many autoturrets and when u fly close u get pounded real hard :wink: btw i tink i suggested having missile launching turrets that locks on to the starfighter..is it possible to make tat

ok there are much ideas and ive got some answers of my own.
flyable cap ships are possible just watch the topic of maxloef. thats the battlefront 2 enhancements mod. cockpits are in the starfighters. there was no replies of new fighters so. except for the defender and the B-wing if he gets them. you could get flyable cap ship and make it like the pirate skiff on tatooine.
the pilot couldnt shoot but the passagers could. this could be planted into the frigate or cap ship. like the pilot moving the ship and then the passangers who shoot with the turrets.

I just want a scene like at the start of episode 3 were the two capital ships fly next to each other and start shooting. Syths idea is a good one.

I'm trying to figure out portals and sectors for Xwingguy so that this map doesn't have 4 fps. Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure it out -- and according to XW it's not playable without them. I'll do some more research, but I'm pretty clueless.
