Maybe, once you get more experiance, you should do custom sides. But right now, it would just be good to kinda change some units a little. Like, change the darktrooper to magnagaurd or something.

If you want to edit the REP side, look through the REP's req. You'll find some interesting units that you've never seen in the stock game. Trust me. It's worth the look :thumbs:

Hmm isn't the side that the Kamino BFX units called REP? Well, if it is then I think you'd have to make two of these lines ReadDataFile("SIDE\\rep.lvl", in your .LUA. One will have the stock rep, while the other will have the BFX Kamino people.

Take the VOL.wld and create a new map which means, go to data then click VisueleMunge.exe and make a new map. Then replace the .wld file of the map you just created with VOL.wld. Next get all the other files in Data_VOL Like the tgas, mshs, odfs, and anything else in the world 1 folder then, delete anything in the world 1 folder of your new map, and load up Zeroediter!



This should work.

To expand on that, what if the new world didn't have a three-letter name of VOL?

If you really want to go through making a new world and copy + pasting your wrl file, you'd have to do it this way. I don't recommend it, though.

Firstly be nicer, and custom sides do NOT make a map great.

I don't think that the side for the Republic in BFX is even called rep. I think It goes by legions like, 212, 327, 501, and 51.

The BFX sides do go by legion.

You do need the DC:'s, but for those to work you also need to set up the custom side. It's easy for you since the BFX sides already come set up - you just need to create the _BUILD/Sides folder for it.
