Ok I know there are other Halo 3 threads, but there all over the one month no revive limit, so the only other option i saw was to create a new one.
First off the new vid doc from Bungie talking about the mulitplayer:

I might as well spoil that what the person anayzled included the Needlers being fired faster, a possible remake of a Halo PC map (forgot the name), new medals, more observation of what the X button serves and how it may relate to the Mines and Bubble Shield, etc.

I've noticed for myself that when you pick up the flag, there's some odd sound that tells that you grabbed the flag. Also, the AR bursts is completely different. To please some fans in that the AR feels just like Halo but more powerful, give back the original burst sounds. :p

P.S. What will become of the "Heath Bar". Will there be a rechargeable health bar that won't appear on screen or will it be there but non-rechargeable just like Halo 1. What's your opinion?

I thought Bungie state that its going to be fired slower and be more balanced. Theres also some hints of it being a rifle since it can no longer be dual wielded, And they heard Bungie saying this:"New Needler being a rifle..." You only 2 of each type of grenade know since there is know four types. Theres way alot of other interesting weapons like a carryable chaingun, trip mines, covenant antigrav man cannons. New vehicles (or know drivable) like the pelican, ATV, Covenant Chopper and Mauler.
Note these things might be cut/changed like many things in Halo 1 and 2.

I remember when Halo 2 was coming out, loads of magazines said it would have lots of new types of warthogs and desructable environments, spike grenades and other stuff i cant remember but it didnt, that was real annoying. Did anyone else hear about stuff like that being in halo2 or was it one of my friends lying?
Arent spike grenades in this game though.

Spike grenades? Talking about in Halo 3 right? That's still up in the air. I do know that Bungie wants to go full out in Halo 3 and get everything they want in as possible

I'm glad they kept the same style of animations for the Chief. Other than that, looks like a prettied up Halo 2. And that ain't a bad thing at all. :D Hoping to see MP playable marines and brutes this time around.

OOO Spartans v Brutes sounds cool! I hope Bungie keeps the Elites playable too. And maybe for the heck of it have grunts and jackals playable.

I doubt they would appear in the "competitive" version of Halo 3 MP online. However, if Bungie created another disk that contains nearly all materials such as the files to missing weapons or baddies from Campaign, then yes, is it possible that Bungie can take machinimas to the next level in consoles rather than just PCs.

Yeah, however Bungie might make a class-based online mode with brutes/grunts/elites/jackals vs marines/ODSTs/Spartans.

That'd be cool. If they do have new chars for the MP, I really hope they're not just different looking clones. Each should have their own pros and cons. For example, Marines don't have shields and can't flip tanks (but yes to warthogs and such) but they're a lot faster than the Chief. Something similar for the grunts, except they can't flip vehicles. Jackals always start with a plasma pistol and a jackal shield, Chief and Elites stay the same, and Brutes are the fastest class in the game, have damage resistance on constantly, but do slightly less damage (melee-wise, is what I mean.) than the Chief. Oh, yes, and ODSTs have the speed of the marines, the strenght of the Chief, and half the strength of the Brute's damage resistance. (The armor's gotta be for Something other than looking cool!)

The elites are still playable you can see them in a screenie. Thats probaly the main reason why they dont wanna add different playable characters is they wanna keep things equal. If they use those guidelines with the elites they might not be able to hold human weapons because of there edict of "heretic" weapons. And alot of people hate using elites just cuz of the fact its a bigger sniper target. And also, the marines cant flip over vehicles at all since a spartan can barely flip it over, grunts wouldnt be able to see over any vehicles they ride on since there so short (thats why they suck when driving a ghost), adding brutes wouldnt be fair at all imagine playing as a character superior in every way. Their faster,stronger(yes even in melee they can actually kill a spartan in full armor using it), more damage resistance and they can pick up alot of other really powerful weapons like plasma cannons, gravity hammers its like having a very overbalanced jedi. I also heard from Bungie arent making brutes playable. Not bring your hopes down STARWARSFREAK but im just stating the facts Bungie announced.

No hard feelings, Achronos, I'm just listing all my hopes and dreams (that will never be realized.). I was thinking, if they would include brutes, they would have slightly less powerful melee attacks and be a little slower, to balance out their carrying kick-(wocka-wocka-wocka-wock.) weapons like the gravity hammer.


OH! This thought just came to me. What if they made a downloadable or buyable stand-alone Halo game, entirely dedicated to multiplayer and machinema? There would be redone maps of all the maps of Halos 1, 2, and 3. You could play as ANY character from the game, (with your own customization, of course.) There would also be a "machinema" game type, where you could spawn working AI and such, creating your dream battles. There would be simple programming for it, like "aggressive," or "guerilla-fighter" to make the battles more interesting. Machinema type would only have players join by being invited by the host, or the host having a guest on. This way, there's no party crashers. (And to those thinking this, yes, the idea was spawned by Garry's Mod, but Halo-style. Also, the programming AI I thought of, not Garry's Mod, but correct me if I'm wrong.) These are just my ideas, feel free to comment, but if you don't like it, just say so, don't dis me.

Acutally the only thing they mentioned was intelligent AI Brutes, the Spiker, the Spartan Laser, and some other weapons/vehicles
The progamming AI thing is quite funny. You can give a grunt the role of a flood infection form and they will just try to swarm around you but they cant damage you.
I would also like to be able to choose which armor version of the characters. Like for a spartan character you can choose between the 2 other suits in the other halo games. Then for an elite maybe things like honor guard, counciller, heretic that would be cool. If they actually did redo the halo 1 and 2 maps (including campagin) that might take around a year to make but that would be worth the wait. And for the other races I wish they would make a Halo version of SWBF2 Assault where theres two sides: UNSC and Covenant. The Flood could be killer natives. Another thing that might be different about it would be smart AIs. Alot of ppl say SWBF2 has dumb Ais and it would lag if they made it smarter. I dont understand I put a whole bunch of Ais in Blood Gulch (say around 100 it didnt lag that much.
