Here I was thinking my computer specs were at the bottom of the list...JabbaLovesLava wrote:Well, that's odd. My computer has:
Processor: Intel Celeron 1.8 Ghz
Memory: 512 MB
Graphic Card: ATI Radeon 9250 256MB (PCI bus)
and I run endor without lag on medium settings.
Processor: Intel Pentium 2.0gHz
Memory: 512MB
Graphics Card: LOL! Another ATI Radeon 9250 256MB (PCI bus)
XWingGuy, I feel for you. My computer had a 64MB Intel 82845G until I bought this Radeon. Try playing HaloPC on Integrated Graphics! It's worse than when you start Halo up with the -ff command. I'll bet Battlefront II wouldn't even run at all. Hopefully this means that, since you'll want the map running smoothly on your computer, that mine'll run it. Keepin' my fingers crossed! And good luck on all those portals.

Hello, xwingguy
I havn't posted in this topic since it was still in the teens
But I've been watching everyday since then to see your progress. I was quite dissapointed when you had to start the hallways over again but I still continue to watch.
Although I rarely play BF2 anymore I continue to leave it installed JUST for your map. So I'de first like to say keep up the amazing job your doing so far on the map! And secondly a suggestion. You said awhile back that all the ships would have interiors (correct me if i'm wrong and ignore this) But I'de suggest, to save some memory, have some of the ships been partly destroyed on the inside.
For example wires are falling down, the place is collapsing, they can't enter that way ect. That way you add a little bit of realism(being partly into the heat of battle) and again save space.
Signed, EmperorDonkey

I have no idea what RAMDACS are... gimme a sec, I'll check the box that mine came in... or is it on the CD that comes with it...?
Okay, can't find anything on the box or in the manual or on the CD-ROM that talks about those. Could you tell me what they are, and why they're a ripoff?
Anyways, back on-topic...
How many of the regular Battlefront II fighters and bombers are you planning on leaving in?
EDIT: I looked up RAMDACs in Wikipedia... Random Access Memory Digital to Analog Converters... so, they're apparently what converts your graphics into the image you see on your screen... and, what I got from the article is that they're somewhat outdated, is this correct?

When I have two monitors running, the second one doesn't have any of the graphics that the main one has (it's on 640X480 and 16 colours *not 16 million* just 16) so it's likely I haven't 2 of them.
Anyways... so, when the interior of the Mon Cal is done, you'll have to start the ISD interior and do all of that stuff? Hope it works out.

Xwing, a question is bugging me, do you know if you can control those Heavy Turrets (the big ones that are besides the hangar, for those who don't know). About the halls, do you have more halls to add? It seems those reach every room you've included.
OffTopic: blue-one, from which map you took that pic??
