Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
Yeah that's a really good idea. He means to just make a body without a head, like when you take the head of a real lego character. Then you export it and make a seperate head and add it through the ODF with the GeometryAddon command and use OverrideTexture and do a texture so you just copy the .msh lots with different names. I think I got that right hopefully it won't be like that Lightning topic
.
Also I was thinking you could make a headless one and save it as a .obj file then make the head in a new scene, import the body .obj file and merge together. Just another idea.

Wow, nice job. There's alittle to much detail on the grip, but overall it should be fine.

Im almost finished to set up the model. I have it ingame, but it is a bit small. How do I make the gun bigger, using the msh.option?

do the opposite of what you did to make the other gun smaller. Looks exactly like it's supposed to! Awesome job!

If you put -.55 before, put - .90 now. You don't need to specify positives.fai222 wrote:Thanks! I try but it just dont get bigger. I put for example +scale 0.90 in the msh.option but nothing happens.

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
Make the heads addons, and on the actual model, use the lego neck instead of heads.Darth-Revan wrote:2 mutch big words didint get a thing lol

No, do:tsurugi13 wrote:If you put -.55 before, put - .90 now. You don't need to specify positives.fai222 wrote:Thanks! I try but it just dont get bigger. I put for example +scale 0.90 in the msh.option but nothing happens.

-scale 2.0
A number after scale less than 1 scales it down. A number greater than 1 scales it up. Your weapon looks awesome by the way!

Lego Star Wars. I have made a lego man body, the way Tean said. The neck ain't done, though, and I'm gonna model different heads for it, as well as different weapons and maybe gonna model backpacks and the like. I just need to take a pic and make the other stuff.

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
So I've finally gotten around to starting the RPG-7 model I promised I would make.
After working on it off and on, maybe 15 minutes a week for about three weeks, this is what I've come up with.
Not textured yet, I'll post the textured version in my Terra Strife models thread (http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 46&t=13995) when it's done.
Oh and the triangulation you see on parts of the model is due to some boolean difference operations I used.
For those that don't know what an RPG-7 is, this is it:

Re: Model Showcase Thread v3.0
taivyx-absolutley astonishing!!!! KUDOS!
EDIT: meh i thot id show this real quick, its not fully textured (thats why texture projection's off) and i may change the model a bit. its 994 tri's with 12 objects. (dunno how to make it say that without a pop-up box.)
anyways, this is a Webley revolver, commonly found among british troops in both world wars.
more detailed pic with no wireframe

Thanks for the great feedback guys! That RPG looks awesome!
Oh, I almost forgot that BLACK9_KNIGHT deserves some of the credit on the SFOR too. It was he who took pics of the model so that i could model it.
EDIT: Here it is ingame.
