That makes sense... in this, he's no longer a martyr for the Rebel Alliance's cause (although he still is a founding member).SilvaDalek wrote:Keep him from becoming one with the force?Fluffy_the_ic wrote:Actually, you saying that sorta gave me an idea. Hey, does anybody have a link to view the TFU2 trailer? Cuz I found it on utube but it appears to have been taken down by copyright and the link on LA website doesn't work.

Maybe Starkiller and Juno had a baby before he was on the Death Star, unreasonable I know.. it would break the canon but its just a thought.

Well, on closer inspection of the picture given at the game's official site, he's got a robotic right shoulder and some more mechanical parts where his left pectoral muscle should be. Another Vader rebuild definately seems possible. Vader's obviously an influence in Galen's life, since Vader's voiceover had new dialouge in it. Of course, it could be parts modified from the old rebuild. Maybe we should make a new topic about TFU2 stuff, cuz this is clogging up all the other VGA posts.
EDIT: and sorry about my previous post. My computer lagged out of posting it and I left the computer for a while. When I came back, I refreshed, and it posted....3 pages later.... mah bad.

I'm thinking the most likely explanation is that it's a clone. Because the Emperor did say he could be one of the greatest Sith that ever lived and so he could have taken some DNA from Starkiller and made a clone of him.

Nope, it looks like that's just armor, and to back my speculation up, he used force lightning in the trailer, so it cant be robotic.Twilight_Warrior wrote:Well, on closer inspection of the picture given at the game's official site, he's got a robotic right shoulder and some more mechanical parts where his left pectoral muscle should be.

The way you put it, it actually sounds reasonable, I mean, the whole "he's a clone" plot device is old and stupid, but you would expect Palpatine to clone such an important asset to his plans for later use, besides, Palpy loved to use clones.Nova Hawk wrote:I'm thinking the most likely explanation is that it's a clone. So, yes... <sighs deeply> he must be a clone.

He had metallic parts in him the entire second half of the game. It doesn't just say "rebuilt" on wookiepedia. It's also in the novel AND ingame (i think only Xbox and PS3 versions though). So long as you have enough organic parts to channel the energy, you can still use force lightning.Wookiepedia wrote:Approximately six months later, Starkiller awoke once more. As it turned out, Vader had rescued him, sending out a droid to recover his body, and brought him to be rebuilt on Vader's personal science vessel, the Empirical.

And if I remember correctly, you can still use force lightning even when you have metal replacement appendages with the costume unlocked for killing Vader instead of saving everyone.

I'm surprised no-one said anything about the giant gorilla that tossed the rancor.

Lol, that's cuz there's nothing we know about it. It might be a visual recreation of a monster from a novel, but noone has any idea what it could be. The best name anyone has for it right now is "Rancor Tosser."

The Rancor Tosser just doesn't seem that awesome...I mean in the previous game we took down a star destroyer and battled the emperor and vader...what more is there?

Cutscenes always look better than the game (well, nowadays, anyways) - especially when said cutscenes are used for world premieres.SilvaDalek wrote:The graphics look amazing,

I believe this is the same case as with TOR; that's no cutscene, it's a trailer. A little movie. TFU's cutscenes are done in-game. Just a few more hours and we get the official trailer.Dohnutt wrote:Cutscenes always look better than the game (well, nowadays, anyways) - especially when said cutscenes are used for world premieres.SilvaDalek wrote:The graphics look amazing,
I'm surprised nobody here said anything about Yoda's voice being heard in the trailer. IMO plot device right there. All of them. Vader, Juno and Yoda all have something to do with the plot.

Well, we're only a few years off from them being the same, cutscenes and in-game.Lord Bardar wrote:I believe this is the same case as with TOR; that's no cutscene, it's a trailer. A little movie. Also, the star destoryer part was more of a quick time event.
When watching the trailer the first time I was confused about Yoda's voice. I'm thinking is that Luke? Nah, wait maybe, Vader is talking. Then when Juno's voice came in and everything quelled I thought it was a bad Padme voice over, and thought it was Anakin. Nope, Starkiller.
So it will be interesting to see how Yoda fits into all of this.

Re: The Official VGA Thread, TFU2, Reach, and more!
Okay you guys, this may sound crazy but I think I have an idea on how Starkiller "survived".
Lucasarts has already done the "reconstruction" thing twice in TFU. First after he was thrown into space, and second (if you did Dark Side) when he was turned into that cyborg thingamajig. For Lucasarts to touch on that a third time... well, I don't think they're that stupid.
But here's my idea: during the trailer we (Or Starkiller) hear Yoda and Darth Vader, right? And if we assume the canonical things happened within the game and the movies, all three of them (Starkiller, Yoda, and Darth Vader) should be dead.
Sooooooooo, maybe when Starkiller died on the Death Star he was sent to this supposed Force "afterworld", and then he encounters Yoda and Vader's spirits and stuff. So what we see in the trailer is either one environment in this "afterworld" (that I just made up), or maybe the Force decides Starkiller should have another chance and rebirths him back into the galaxy.
Yeah, it sound pretty insane. But Star Wars is a very magical story at its roots, and it is The Force Unleashed.
