Post by wazmol »

ok i want to localize the GCW era to a say The Revenge of The Separatists

first i open up the editlocalize.bat or whatever i then find in common eras and then i find the galactic civil war one i then change it to the revenge of the separatists and there is also an ident one which i canged aswell. i then save (close) run munge with the localize box ticked and..... guess what? its the same!

i have also edited the UK english one aswell because thats what wrked before with my BD's.

thanks alot.

To do what you are describing would require editing the main game files.

It would be tough to confirm it for sure but from what I've seen, this is how it works (in order):
- Each addme script is run at program start
- Each addme loads their "core.lvl" (the localization keys) into memory
- Duplicate keys are overwritten with each load but none are deleted
- After all addme scripts are run, the game loads the game's main "core.lvl" thus overwriting anything the addme cores would have loaded

- When a map is loaded, it's core.lvl is also loaded too allowing changes of any common localizations during the match, but not before or after
