Well, not only for a clan site, i'm probably going to use godaddy for something else, but i want my own domain name. I'll look around, and read up some on godaddy

I think you're trying to run before you can walk, especially if you are unsure about hosting and what it is. Sort out a really basic static site or something then go from there.

• Do you know what a webhost is?
• Do you know the difference between a domain name and "webspace"
• Do you know what FTP is?

I get the distinct impression that you've just downloaded a whole buch of stuff and wondering why when you copy it to your hard drive it doesn't work. I think you need to get a basic understanding of how the internet actually works. Start with a basic boring static site and then work up from there. A webhost is (very) basically a place online that looks after your files so that everyone else on the internet can see them. For instance you make your site how you want it on your home computer and then "upload" it to your webhost. Things get a little more difficult when you want to start with "dynamic" sites but I seriously recommend you just start off slow. A domain name can be bought really cheaply (some hosts offer subdomains free), once you've got your domain name it'll need to be pointed at the place where your files are being held online, your webspace. Make a start with that. Check if you current Internet Service Provider gives you web hosting for your files, if for some reason it doesn't then have a look on Google for free webhosts.

I know what all of this stuff is, before, all i wanted to know was how i use postnuke. That's it. Because, once i learn how to use that, I'll be set. I have a webhost i have everything i need. Oh and Dohnutt, I solved the money problem, see, I can get money off of google if I let them advertise on my site, and I also work for ebay not including my other fulltime job.

8th grade, doesn't that make you 13 or 14? so does "pilots ed" come before "drivers ed"? over there? j/k

Back on topic, if you now have everything you need does that now mean you have postnuke working, or are you still stuck on some part of the process?

well, not really a commercial pilot yet, but, my dad's friend, he's a pilot, he's training me early. That's how he learned, and he can fly commercial planes, but it consumes too much time. I have everything i need to start a site, but I don't exactly know how to use postnuke. That's what i need to know.

Like I said before. Use those tutorials. They're prolly easier to understand.
